Ate Sunday lunch here. Excellent portions, well cooked. I always rate a Sunday lunch on the quality of the roast potatoes. These were excellent, NOT the usual deep fat fryer version but real roasties.

Visited tonight for an impromptu dinner, long wait and the restaurant was quiet but the food was outstanding. Ample portion, variety of freshly cooked vegetables came with my meal, excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

My wife and I have dined here before and were most impressed with the quality of the food and the value for money. So much so we decided to take friends with us to see if their opinion of the Royal Oak was the same as our's. They were stunned at the quantity of food presented to us, three of... More

Popped in here on Thursday for a speedy lunch, opted for the pie of the day which was lovely and served with great chips, peas and lashings of gravy. My work colleague opted for a prawn jacked potato, again plenary of fillings and served hot..... Can defo reccommend for weekday lunch and Sunday lunch - just need to try the... More

What a fantastic place! We came here for a meal after we got married. We couldn't find any fault at all. The food was fantastic, and so much of it! the staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble. They made us feel so welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend coming here.

We ate here on a Sunday, just after the rush of lunch had worn off. A couple of our table were running late, so arrived about 20 mins after the due time. In the meantime, we hadn't been offered drinks, or even menus! I had to actually go and get the person who served us (and to whom most of... More

3 of us sat near the large open log fire and really enjoyed a very nice Christmas lunch. The turkey breast was soft and from the turkey not a pre-formed joint, the veg was fresh and cooked just right, potatoes were very tasty, it was presented nicely with all of the trimmings and sauces, the puddings were lovely too, not...
