We often pass through Taihape on our travels. Have probably tried most place there. Today the Brown Sugar did not have something to suit our tastes so looked around. This place is about 80 metres off State Highway 1 and thus easy to miss especially...traveling north. Ordered iced coffee, smothie, lambs fry & bacon, French toast (an usual order for us). Every thing had a taste twist which we thoroughly enjoyed.More

This place will now be our essential stop when traveling after we tired of below average food and drink from the other popular cafe in Taihape. I was happy with my flat white and well cooked poached eggs on toasted ciabatta

We arrived at Taihape after 2 hours drive from north and wanted a quick lunch. Le Cafe was busy but tables available. The food was quick to come out, the coffee was hot and very well made, conveniences clean and well maintained, staff happy and...informative. A nice lunch experienceMore

Lunch with friends on a fairly busy Saturday. Good options inc gluten free, pleasant setting and equally pleasant staff. Bit slow getting served and no lambs fry...but apart from that, all good.

It was late, raining and we were tired, but this cafe perked us up. A friendly welcome, prompt service and great food in clean surroundings all made up for the bad weather and road closure. Good coffee as well!

We had a coffee here in the morning before we left. It's a very pleasant little café with great food & coffee. Just try it, you won't be disappointed.

It was nice to sit on the front terrace in the sunshine today. We had a pleasant pie and salad which was reasonably priced. I did find the pastry slightly strange but the filling was delicious and the salad on the side was pleasant. Service...was quick which is good when you are travelling.More
