Visited this restaurant midweek in October, and what an atmosphere, as a group we booked in advance, but there was a queue of people waiting for a table. Once inside I discovered it is quiet a large Its on three levels up narrow stairs which...More

Very interesting decor in this deceptively large and popular restaurant. The food and wine were superb although half of the main course was delivered 5 minutes after the first half. Overall this was a very pleasant and good quality mix of atmosphere and food.

A promising start coupled with a quirky design (ex-hardware store!), some great food and wonderful wine was totally spoilt by having to wait almost 3 hours for our main course! 3 hours I say! Hugely disappointing and we had got up to leave when it...More

The place is very well decorated, with impressive furniture and lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food and the service. The four of us arrived at 21:00, got our table quite fast and the waiter took our order very quickly. Only one...More

Interesting and beautiful interior (renovated old hardware store with vast walls of hardwood drawers and wrought iron work) worth the visit for that alone. However, it does seem to have a lot of large tourist parties at large tables. Would recommend for couples and the...More

Been there with friends (two couples), been amazed by the location. Menu is quite wide and so the wine cart. Service has been definitely good. I would have expected something more from the dishes, which l found being a step behind all the rest. Nothing...More

Totally worth checking this restaurant out. It is an old hardware store converted into a restaurant. I would recommend sitting upstairs if you are a group of two. Great view from there. Very unique experience. Food and service were good. Pretty extensive menu. All in,...More

In a converted hardware store, the dining experience here is very fun with decor unlike any other. It is a bit small inside, so a reservation is required, and it can get quite loud during the dinner hour. The food was good, prices reasonable for...More

The place has a different special atmosphere. The menu has a wide variety and they are careful with food allergies. My plate was very good, but not everyone on our table liked their dish. For me, the downside was the tables were rather all squeezed...More

Description
BRASSERIE LA QUINCAILLERIE AT A STONE’S THROW FROM AVENUE LOUISE IN BRUSSELS > INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS (UP TO 230 PERS. / PRIVATISATION POSSIBLE) > MEMORABLE, UNIQUE AND TAILOR-MADE EVENTS AS BUSINESS LUNCH/DINNER, BIRTHDAY, WEDDING... It is located in a former ironmonger’s shop in the Rue du Page in Brussels, designed by a student of Victor Horta. The Horta museum is just around the corner. Further in the neighbourhood, there’s also the Place Chatelain, a melting pot of nice restaurants, boutiques and specialty shops. In 1988, La Quincaillerie opened its doors. Many characteristic elements of the former shop were preserved. It gives that special character to the brasserie. The brasserie is located at a stone's throw from Avenue Louise and is the ideal base for those wishing to enjoy authentic cuisine. And there are plenty of parking spaces in the surrounding streets.
