Delicious Crepe Suzettes served flambé in the traditional style by French wait staff. Very good barista coffee. Great atmosphere, but not fancy. Comfortable, unpretentious vibe - it's all about the food!

We were keen to try this again even though the last time had been disappointing. We were seated quickly but then had to ask to have our order taken as they didnt come back. Foor quality was patchy. Whereas previously the galettes were crisp on...the edge, these were stodgy. Crepes were too thick...certainly not cuisine. Service was not customer focussed...rude in fact. Will not repeat the experience!More
I came for takeout crepe with two young kids. I was told it would be “two minutes” and we were next. In the end i had to come in and remind them because they had forgotten to make it. I appreciate that there was a...queue of people from tables paying their bills and the same person who made the crepe had to take payment. But I came in to ask how long it would take because I had two kids waiting outside blocking the side walk and I would have taken them to a bench down the road if it was going to be longer and in response the woman screamed at me. She then brought us the crepes and screamed at me again telling me “two minutes” is a figure of speech. I don’t mind waiting but please don’t yell at me, please don’t forget our order and please give a somewhat accurate window of time. I have come here before because I like the support local businesses but this was a disappointing experience.More
The restaurant floor was scattered with pieces of pastry. Flowers on the table were sitting in old water. The staff were not wearing masks. When we were served the coffee came luke warm, the galette was not hot and was tasteless.
You don't have to fly over the seas to get a real taste of France. The galette served at this delightful restaurant is just like they serve in Tours, France. The buckwheat pancake was tasty and the green salad fresh and not drowned in dressing....What a shame the leg of duck was not warm and juicy, as we would have liked. The French cider was dry and tasty - a great drink to have with the galette.More
Had to do an errand in the area, had tried the Roule Galette in the city. It was quiet at lunch, all French staff adds to the vibe. The galette was wafer thin, good quality cheese and ham. Washed down nicely with the Alsatian riesling....For a restaurant the coffee was very passable.More
Sunday morning, my buddy and I were in the neighborhood to have a quick brunch. As we both were quite stressed about exams and other stuff, we decided to have something that favors our sweet tooth. Crepes - something which reminds me of a South...Indian dish called Dosa, I know, it's a long shot comparison. Ambiance: The place looks quite laid back and calls out the charm of rustic life. The red brick laid walls have some black and white photo frames hanged to it. I feel a bit confused regarding the decor of this place as it looks not well maintained. They have to come up with something to brighten this old soul. It is maybe furnishing or lighting or adding more green. There is this map of France and some newspaper cuttings on a wall, just near to the entrance. However, someone decided to block it off completely by putting a table, and it displays the baguette, danish, croissant, etc. Service: The service was stunning. We asked the staff to help us out with the right pronunciation of certain things, and she did a fantastic job — prompt and neat service. Food: We ordered Pim's (Raspberry and Chocolate), Monkey (Banana and Chocolate), Latte, and Soy Flat White. The coffee was great. I am a chocolate lover, and the crepes were lip-smacking. It's worth it. They have other sorts of pancakes which has meat/eggs as toppings. I want to try that soon.More
Thank you for yours nice words about Roule Galette.
We have always been here regularly and love the food especially my 18month old. Went yesterday and was given a babyccino as soon as we took our seat which I thought was a lovely gesture at that point. Asked for the bill to find we...were charged $2.00 for the babyccino that we did not order for. I politely told the waitress we did not order it but was charged for it, to which I was immediately met with the response "but he took it anyway" referring that my 18 month old drank the babyccino when it was given to him. I was quite taken aback by that response but since I was with my parents visiting from overseas enjoying the day with their grandson I decided not to argue over a $2 babyccino however this experience has definitely left a sour taste and we would definitely not be returning any time soon.More
I would like to apologise for the misunderstanding, As an owner, when I read your message I was shocked, wanting to understand what had happened, I talked with the staff on duty at that time and I went to have a look at the registration...More
I just wanted a quick cuppa, but was surprised to have a French conversation as well. It is a spacious and pleasant place and the coffee is very good and inexpensive. Service is good, with water brought to me without me having to ask.
Thank you. I'm happy you had good time at Roule Galette.
This was our first time at a Creperie . We enjoyed the experience and loved the meals. What a great idea.
Thank you. Come back when you want.
My Partner & I went here cause it's not asian, (sad isn't it?) My first visit I had what they made on the buckwheat pancake (Yuck) it was so heavy it may as well have been a pizza, but apparently this is what all the...tree hugging koala loving people want. (each to their own) I really wanted to give it another go, so the next visit I asked for a white pancake, it was YUMMY, i recommend that if there's two of you try one of each, then next time you will know what you like.More
Thank you.
My wife, daughter (5 years old) stopped in Carnegie after seeing a Playschool show in Caulfield. I had lived in the area previously but not for a number of years. We stopped by and shared two sweet crepes, they were very nice light and tasty...- we had the Riviera and the Yeti. It is a big establishment, curious to see how busy it gets on a Friday or Saturday night. Recommended if you are in the area.More
I'm happy you enjoy your crepes. Thank you.
Service is terrible. If you are happy to wait for 30mins for s coffee and crepes then cone otherwise don’t bother.
This place is great if you want to try some French food.. the crepes and galette are a part of French cuisine and if you feel like trying something different from the usual pub , Mexican or other cuisines do go to this place .....we tried chicken avacado, spicy am chicken and other meat dishes and they were all good !! The crepes were delicious too..More
Thank you for your nice review.
I was looking for something tasty for dinner. So I picked this lovely French place for dinner on my own. Friendly and efficient service and I felt like I was transported to France. A good range of crepes to suite all tastes and ages.
