Modern restaurant with young and friendly staff. The food is delicious and interesting, the kind that would normally be served in stuffy restaurants but instead served by really nice people who want to make customers feel at home. Best of all is the price. Surprise menu (5 courses + amuse bouch + wine pairing, 5 generous glasses) chf 115 per person.

We popped in here on spec whilst wandering around Chambery and Mont Pelerin. Gorgeous restaurant, wonderful views from the balcony and the staff were lovely.
The food was outstanding, and my husband said the cheesecake was the best he's ever eaten! Beautiful salad, ice tea and sorbet also were hits. Would definitely recommend.

We love this restaurant and don't come there as often as we would like because of the distance. The menu at the moment is even more creative and successful than the last times we came. Salmon gravelax: a marvel. Bourride: inventive, delicate, balanced. Desserts: gourmet, original. THANKS!!!! Worthy of much praise.

We came with friends to spend a nice evening... the couple of friends living in Chardonne knew this restaurant and had positive memories of it..... My wife and I came to discover it.
The welcome was friendly and the staff attentive and friendly. The service was fast and ok.
As a starter, the green salad was very fresh and our choice of “cooked flan with fermented apricots & mushroom fricassee” was a very pleasant discovery.
On the other hand, our disappointment, shared by all of us, was immense in having opted for the meat meal "Semsales deer in medallion". Meat
deserved a few extra minutes of cooking and the accompaniments were non-existent: the spätzli were ordinary, the candied red cabbage wedge was hard, three leaves of Brussels sprouts... and we wondered where the chanterelles had gone... Fortunately the wine chosen red (Mondeuse grape variety) warmed our hearts.
You can't be perfect in all culinary areas.... and best wishes for good luck!

Heureux d'apprendre que le service a été à votre convenance et que les entrées vous ont plu. Navré bien sûr d'apprendre que vous n'avez pas apprécié le filet mignon de cerf et ses accompagnements. Si vous avez jugé la cuisson insuffisante, pourquoi ne pas l'avoir signalé dès la première bouchée au serveur qui s'occupait de vous? Nous aurions pu corriger le tir.
Concernant les accompagnements, je vais informer la cuisine du fait que les chanterelles à l'huile semblaient absentes de vos plats, il doit s'agir d'un oubli et je vous prie d'accepter mes excuses pour ce désagrément.
Quant aux spätzli à la farine de châtaigne, ainsi qu'au chou rouge confit qui n'ont pas été à votre convenance, je les ai goûtés moi-même la semaine passée et les ai au contraire trouvés succulents! Et qu'avez-vous pensé du bonbon de Chasselas de Chardonne au sumac?
Reprenant le titre de votre commentaire, je conclurai ma réponse en vous disant simplement que mon chef n'a effectivement pas la prétention d'être parfait ni de plaire à tout le monde, mais seulement d'explorer des domaines qui lui tiennent à coeur et de proposer une cuisine qui sorte des sentiers battus! En espérant que vous aurez l'occasion d'apprécier cela lors d'une prochaine venue.

I have no idea where some of the people giving the restaurant high ratings have eaten before, but we found the food here very poor and hence astronomically expensive for what it was. My navarin consisted of six chewy pieces of lamb in a watery gravy with two tiny carrots and two tiny new potatoes. Simply awful. Charitably, perhaps it was just an off day, but we found the staff particularly unwelcoming and unhelpful.

Excellent food and decent portions. Must have for everyone who loves a fresh ingredients and delicious compositions. I tried many others around and this is the best restaurant in the region for sure. Highly recommended.

Delicious lunch on a nice terrace with a fabulous panoramic view over the lake. Friendly service but a shame the meals (same dish) came several minutes apart which is not ideal for a meal for 2

A beautifully refurbished bakery on a picturesque street with panoramic views over Lac Leman.
Although billed at the front as a wine bar/tea salon/restaurant, from the outside it looks like a cafe, so I was not expecting anything more than standard fare - I was totally mistaken.
We had had a fabulous lunch in a charming setting. Fresh pasta and the lightest gnocchi I have ever tasted! Not only do they bake excellent bread, but the pasta and gnocchi was freshly made, and I am fairly convinced the sorbet was as well.
We will definitely come back here next time we are in the region.

We stopped for lunch by chance, en route to Vevey.
The gnocchi with boulets (seasonal round-shaped mushrooms, picked fresh twice a day to ensure freshness) was served in a gravy. The gnocchi themselves were light and made to order. Superb!
The server was a lovely young lady with a very warm and welcoming smile.

We ate here during our stay in Corseaux. Not many restaurants here to choose from, but what an excellent choice it was to have diner at A la demi-lune. The people are super friendly and experts on wine and the food is great! Add the view om the lake and for us there was no better place to be that night.
