Enjoyed an excellent five course meal here on a Wednesday evening. Despite the weekday, the restaurant was almost fully booked. This was noticable in the attentiveness of the staff as they were not really keeping an eye on all the tables, keeping glasses filled etc. Having said that, the food was absolutely delicious and well worth two stars!

Not sure if it makes much sense to write a review now, as this restaurant has now closed... We went here during one of their last days for their farewell dinner menu. I had indicated that I don't eat nuts and olives. The food and wine were excellent, as usual. That is, until the dessert. I took one bite and... More

Everything was good, but not great, and far too expensive for what was on offer. Taster menu was well cooked and nice enough, but accompanying wine selection was uninspiring with no great wines, just very average. Service was very slow. Compared to other restaurants, simply not good enough to justify 2*, or even 1*. Overall disappointing experience.

What a night, my wife even called it "the best night ever"! We celebrated her 50th birthday with 30 friends and the service and food was amazing. Whenever you are looking for a great meal in a scenic environment go to The Zwethheul. Mario in the kitchen and Remko at the front of house will make sure that it will... More

In an impulse lood i decided to drive 157 km from Brussels to Delft to this restaurant. I was welcomed by friendly staff and this from the begining till the end. Since i came so far i challanged the chef by mixing his two menues and found myself on a trip of 18 courses. And yes it was a wounderfull... More

2 michelin stars and that is what we got! The gastronomic 8 course menu, with some changes , made us spent a lovely evening. We arrived at 20h and left happy after midnight! The service was correct and casual. A more personal approach, the chef didnot bother to come by, would have given an extra dimension. But to his credit... More

Usually I try to stay away from restaurants (and especially star restaurants) during Restaurant week, but today I went to the Zwetheul and I think the terrible experience was probably partly a result of that. The reasons I usually avoid these deal weeks are: 1) the restaurants are crowded and noisy 2) the staff has less time for you and... More

Sadly the overall experience was not great because of the service by lack of organisation and direction. Although I may expect more just because it has a couple of stars, I really would expect better service from any middle range city bistro. Whereas the staff seemed to try, they really didn't seem to have the correct training or leadership. The... More

We arrived early on a very rainy night (it was easier to find than we expected using GPS) and were welcomed at the bar with drinks and amuses. The 6-course menu was terrific: I especially liked the "Caviar 2013", a nice creative twist on the usual way of serving caviar. I have to follow a strict gluten free diet and... More
