The service, atmosphere, view and most importantly the food was perfect. Nothing to fault, a truly professional service with amazing food made our weekend away a perfect stay. Thanks to the team at appellation.

I decided to book at Appellation for my partner's birthday when we spent five days at the Barossa recently as a special treat. We begun with a pre-dinner drink on the terrace and it was very peaceful with the sun setting in the distance. I really enjoyed this atmosphere and the anticipation of a wonderful evening ahead. We didn't opt... More

My husband and I dined here recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was exquisite and service was excellent, we had a beautiful evening. Highly recommend the degustation menu with paired wines. We will absolutely return again if ever we are back in the Barossa - just supurb.

We have stayed here before but do not remember being forced to eat breakfast in our room. I don't know whose idea it was but it would deter us from staying here again, as the food and coffee was just below par for a venue of this stature. Also, I don't always know in advance what I want to eat... More

We went on tuesday night and had a three coursed meal which were the chefs choice. meals were beautifully presented with some unusual tastes. staff very friendly. It could of had a larger selection of wines by the glass but still definitely worth going.

On Tuesdays the menu is a 3 course meal made from the best prudce of the day, The dinner doesn't get to choose the meal. My husband & I were given different dishes for each course. We chose to have the somelier wine match. It was a great meal and great new experience in dinning. Very friendly staff.

We were asked to arrive up to one and half hours before our reservation time presumably to consume enough overpriced, poorly constructed cocktails to make the $135 per person degustation menu more palatable. After sitting on awkward stools, sipping on a ruthless vodka martinis and contemplating an olive that looked more like a wrinkled caper that an olive, we were... More

We recently ate here for my birthday, it was a surprise, and I couldn't have been happier. On arrival the door was opened and being a little early we were given a choice of a drink on the verandah or going straight to our table which was already ready for us. We decided to take a drink outside as the... More

Beautiful restaurant, knowledgable helpful friendly staff and Sommelier. We had the Degustation Menu with matching wines. The nice part about this menu compared to other Degustation Menu's was for each course there was a choice and as there were 4 of us we almost all had a different item from the menu and were able to sample each others food... Excellent restaurant with great food for all courses, coupled with a very complete wine list to pair your meal. Staff very professional, knowledgable and friendly. Strongly recommend, one of the highlights for my visit in the area.
