A little gem we found on TripAdvisor. Off the beaten track in this quaint little Okinawan house. The broth is so flavourful and the noodles are just the right texture. My Daughter has an egg allergy, which they went all out to explain in a...smattering of English (much better than my Japanese) the menu. Top service, top food!More

Tucked away in a small lane off the Main Street, this is traditional noodle shop, which specializes in local soba. Menu is simple, mostly soba sets with some extras to choose from. Noodles come with either pork belly or pork ribs, anyway both are very...tasty. This place is quite popular, so during peak time, be prepared to wait.More

A quick stopover for lunch. Noodles were very good. Location a little out of the way given its a special heritage location. For visitor to Okinawa World or the Peace Memorial, you may want to consider dining here as an option.

We found Yagiya highly rated on tabelog.com, the de-facto Japanese website for restaurant reviews. The restaurant premise is made up of buildings with protected heritage status. From the entrance into the courtyard, the restaurant gives a pleasant feeling of locality. The noodles have great texture...and the broth tasty, we also tried their tofu, which is very aromatic with great texture. They have several choices of desserts - such as ice with mochi and Okinawan black sugar - that will close the meal perfectly. Great environment and great food. Furthermore, the food here have very reasonable prices, will probably cost less than 1000 yen per personI highly recommend this restaurant.More

My husband and I went here after visiting the Peace Memorial Park. We found the place on Tripadvisor and totally enjoyed it. The restaurant was in a traditional Okinawan home and the food tasted home cooked also. I have to say the peanut tofu was...the best I've ever had. Up until now (6 months on Island) I have not enjoyed it other restaurants in Naha, Chatan, Okinawa city, and Nago. I have to say though that sitting on the floor crosslegged was pretty hard on my husband. And it was a production getting up for both of us.More

Went here for lunch. Was a very juice meal and friendly service. One of the staff speaks good English and they have also their menu translated. The food is of outstanding quality. We were very happy with the choice. The peanut tofu is very nice....The place is hard to find in a side street. Look out for the sign. Can very much recommended this placeMore
