I was actually lucky enough to work here for a short time whilst in noz this year. There's a great vibe with friendly bartenders and the breakfast bagels are so good I had to take the recipe home to try re create ! (Sorry😅) Right...next to the main Gondola lots of people come in to fuel up for the slopes and end up hanging out for way longer because you can pop in for a bit then do some skiing's and come back inMore
The atmosphere we were looking for! Lovely and felt more like you were in a ski resort (most places don’t in Nozawa) delicious bagels and coffee and literally on the doorstep of the Nagasaka gondola (the main big gondola in Nozawa) very pricey though!!
This place is cozy, relaxed with great food and coffee. Singlehandedly lifts the skiing experience in nozawa by being there.
Just a quick thank you to Mr Gardner who is the owner of The Craft Room. We arrived in Nozawa Onsen today. We were trying to get to The Craft Room which is the drop off point for luggage for The Schneider Hotel. We randomly...asked Mr Gardner directions and he kindly offered to transport our heavy cases back to the Craft Room. This act of kindness saved us so much time and our legs as we realised how far up the hill we had to go. At the bottom of the Nagasaka gondola this is a great spot for breakfast/lunch. The falafel wrap (no cheese, no yohurt dressing) with fries was really good. The avocado toast is only served until 11am :( For apres there are lots of ales on tap...and the friendly staff makes for a good atmosphereMore

Located at the base of the mountain just below the gondola and a little to the side is the Craft Room. Nice spot to have a coffee and breakfast bagel before you hit the slopes. Then perfect for a few cold ones at the end...of the day to reflect and unwind. If your legs give up on you a bit early it's an easy spot to find and meet back up with friends at the end of the day. Also make sure you have some wings, beware the spicy ones are smokin HOT!More

Had lunch here today. It was fine. Not amazing but it’s a coffee shop not a degustation restaurant. But I have to say it was very weird to see kitchen staff picking up hands full of French fries with their bare hands to put them...on plates for customers. And picking up toasted sandwiches and ALL food with no Tongs and no gloves. Maybe they have the most hygienic hands in the world. But I travel a lot. Internationally every week. And I haven’t seen anyone anywhere in the world before in a kitchen do this. Maybe they are all behind a wall? But would it be hard to wear gloves?? I actually videoed it but then I decided not to post as my point is made well enough without providing video evidence.More

Quite nice place to have lunch on the mountain when you want a change from the standard Japanese options. They serve a variety of beers and chicken wings with several sauces. Also toasted sandwiches and wraps. Nice break from katsudon and ramen.More
