I had lunch yesterday 17/06/2021 with my wife and another couple in the Bistro of the Bridgewater Inn. Staff were friendly and helpful. All meals were quality and of a generous proportion. The area had an open fire which gave the area great ambience but...maybe required an extra log on the fire to make the area a bit warmer. Overall, a great place to have a meal. CheersMore

Love this place the setting is adorable typical for our gorgeous Adelaide staff are always fabulous however I wasn’t aware that when you order a seniors meal it’s half the size of a normal meal that’s not really what a discounted meal is meant to...be is it? Call it a small plate because that’s what your offeringMore

A lovely way to start a winters drive in the Hills with a classic pub meal by a roaring fire in an old pub full of character. This is a popular place so do recommend a booking in advance.

I attended the Bridgewater Inn with friends for lunch on a Saturday. Overall the food was great but the service didn’t meet minimum standards for the venue or pricing. Our server was completely inattentive. I asked about whiskeys available and the server never came back...to inform me. I asked about it and he simply said they have Jameson and that it’s on its way and started walking off and I had to get his attention again to ask for it served neat. He never asked how I wanted it served. My friend ordered bread which never got served. The bottle of wine we ordered was poured without tasting, then the server said that he could not leave the bottle at the table due to the number of people, then he left the bottle at the table which absolutely confused us. The food was served without any of the sides for another 10 mins. Dessert was not offered so we asked for menus. My friend had a question about the cheese selection and asked us all if we were ready to order and the server walked away again. We said we were ready to order and the server completely ignored us. We were not offered top ups of drinks at all. My other friend told a senior staff member at the bar that we never received our bread and she just said “ok” and had to explain that she’s letting them know so we weren’t charged to which she replied that the “bread of free of charge”... unfortunately our server never offered us bread. Then we witnessed a more senior staff member serve another table right next to us with full “silver spoon” service. This was incredibly disappointing and we feel like we were treated differently to others dining there.More

I was looking for a venue for a group booking later in the year. Called in to have a look and decided to stay for lunch. The very professional, yet friendly, fella behind the bar took very good care of me. I chose the lambs...fry and bacon (always a good test dish). The more than ample portion was brought to my table without delay and cooked to perfection. FYI: There are two car parks. From the upper car park there is a staircase to the beer garden and bistro. From the lower car park the entrances are step-free.More

I recently visited the Bridgewater Inn with my family on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We sat outside in the beer garden alongside the creek. We enjoyed fantastic meals amidst the stunning Adelaide Hills scenery and impeccable service of the staff. The menu was excellent...as it incorporated numerous pub classics such as schnitzels and steaks along with several other flavourful dishes including the pulled pork burger, beef cheek and my personal favourite, the burrito bowl. The Bridgewater Inn is the ultimate venue for a multitude of dining experiences, whether it’s inside in the warm, inviting atmosphere of the cellar restaurant or outside under the vines of the glorious beer garden on a nice sunny day. Before you know it, the hours will fly by as you spend the whole day revelling in everything the ouvMore
