Paul’s Famous Burgers??? I honestly don’t know what it’s famous for, but it isn’t due to the taste of their burgers. Been there now a few times & each & every time their burgers have been average at best.

The best burgers in Australia. No comparison to anything else anywhere in Australia. The plastic burger factories have got nothing on this place.
I used to frequent this establishment every Friday evening back in the early 90’s and it was so good, tasty burgers and chips people used to travel from miles away to taste the exquisite burgers.. Sorry to say the burgers and chips my husband and...I experienced today were bland and tasteless. I have had better at Hungry Jacks.. also cost me an extra $2.50 as I had to use the ATM machine that is conveniently in store, they only take cash obviously a way to not declare all sales !! I will not go back as I still many hours later have a bad taste in my mouth. Why do different owners change a good thing ?More
Old style traditional burgers packed with filling on toasted buns. A lot of the options are free too. They are super efficient with heaps of friendly staff & have tables & chairs out on the footpath. Don't even think about going to one of the...big burger chains if you are in the area as Paul's quality burgers absolutely smash them. Do yourself a favour & try them. Photos are Burger with Bacon on the left with Burger with Egg on the right.More
Amazing burgers and a great variety. The burger had a pineapple slice which was something weird to think about but it tasted great in the overall flavour. Highly recommend it. Do carry cash with you as they donot accept cards. Otherwise there is a ATM machine...in their shop but charges some surcharge for withdraw ok ng money.More
There is a very good reason why this shop has been operating since 1957. Their hamburgers are excellent, a great meat pattie, full of quality filling & the buns are toasted too. These burgers absolutely smash the big fast food burgers out of the park....Paul's, the ORIGINAL & BEST! Pics are Burger with Egg & Burger with bacon.More
A true traditional burgher, thick with contents I had Paul's special, egg,bacon... Many options are free. Take time to read the varieties of burgher contents. Plastic tables chairs out front or walk 30m to waterfront under road bridge.bit tricky to access by road under 6...lane road / river bridge.staff efficient, effective...took about 5 minutes from order to pick up. Cash only even in Covid times.More
Always the same great burgers, chips and milkshakes (yum). The ordering system is efficient .. no complaints here (parking is the only issue).
This place has been in the same location for years and is always crowded. The friendly staff work like clockwork, providing fantastic service. This is one place you want to make a regular haunt. Join the queue!
Seating/Environment: The place does not have a lot of seating, but there are nice areas around the place where you are able to enjoy your meal. A lot of people often take-away their food here. Payment: The place only accepts cash. There is an ATM...machine in there where you can withdraw money but there is a withdrawal fee. Staff: Overall pretty nice and friendly. Food: The food comes out very quickly. I have been there many times and all the burgers there are pretty decent. The burgers are also filled to the brim with ingredients. The buns there are a bit too soft for my liking, I would personally like the buns to be a bit toasted but that is just personal preference. When eating the burgers, it can get a bit messy so be prepared. The chips there are also very nice and crunchy. The serving portion is also very generous. However, sometimes the chips can a bit too overly salted. They also have drinks such as milkshakes and their freshly made pineapple juice which is not too sour and are decently priced. Overall: I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you are around the area and are looking for something that is very decently priced, delicious and fast.More
Paul's burgers are classic - not particularly complicated, but tasty: they're a good size, which can get messy, and the chips were excellent. The pineapple crush has plenty of pulp and natural sweetness. The service is first rate - when the line gets long, they'll...travel up and down and take your order and everything keeps moving with very few hold ups. They're cash only but there's a generic ATM in-store if you're okay to pay the usual fee. There aren't many parking spaces in front, but you can circle the block and park under the bridge; unfortunately, the river bank there is also the nearest thing to a park nearby, as the burgers are best eaten straight away rather than after a 15 minute drive to take them home.More
I've been to Paul's a number of times. Consistently good burgers and chips. They offer plenty of burger options and will remove or add what you want. Must try their Pineapple crush. Walking distance to the Georges River/Botany bay so you can grab takeaway and...enjoy lunch with a good view.More
I was with a mate of mine and he suggested we stop in. I have driven past Paul's many times in my travels but not checked it out. Being someone who gets to eat plenty of burgers and have eaten them widely in my travels,...I though I'd finally put Paul's to the test. The expected line was there, creating a sense of anticipation. However when I finally got to try my hamburger with cheese what came to mind was the absolute boring suburban burger taste you can get all across Australia. The patty seriously lacked flavour and nothing else stood out at all on burger. To me this burger is just the old Aussie milkbar burger, nothing more. Sorry but things have evolved along way with burgers here in Australia. If you get to eat some of the better burgers in city or eastern suburbs even, you'll immediately see what I mean. I won't be racing back to Paul's that's for sure.More
I only visit Pauls burgers maybe twice a year, but have been going for about 35 years now. A couple of things stand out here.....consistent quality, the burgers and chips taste the same as they always have, a trademark flavour, hot and fresh. The value...is exceptional. Now I may have had better burgers elsewhere, often way more expensive.. .but taste and value is way up there. My tip...keep it simple. I just get the burger with cooked onions and bacon...when you load up with the lot you just get a sloppy mess. Keep up the great work guys !!!!!More
