Myself along with some family members stopped I for lunch while visiting the aqueduct. It was a beautiful day so outdoor seating was chosen. Drink and food orders were made at the bar inside where the young male staff member was friendly and knowledgable. The drinks and food were good with the food being ready quite quickly. The picnic tables... More

Stopped in at the Telford Inn for a bite after walking across the aqueduct. 4 adults at a picnic table on Tuesday no problem. Had the cider & llangollen beer. Both very refreshing on a warm day. Food was good too. Prawn sandwich, Delilah burger & Telford burger were all very good. Staff friendly & service was efficient. Portions were... More

First time visit post trip to Chirk Castle. The pub overlooks the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct which sadly I missed out on seeing a boat cross as I was driving. It was very peaceful and ample outside dining which had it not been so grey we would have enjoyed. We went and ordered some solid pub food which was great. Wish we... More

This pub is set in a lovely location right next to the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. We both had the Ploughmans lunch which was ok however a little small after our walk across the aqueduct and along the river,

Needed a place to have a quick bite to eat and chose this location as it was about a 50 metre walk away from our boat.....it could be better, but for what I wanted on this occasion...a quick bite....it filled the bill. the food was not spectacular, but average to better......I would go back for sure......atmosphere was good, outside eating... The setting is lovely you can't beat watching the canal boats while having a drink. Unfortunately the food was poor quality and expensive. I had fish and chips - the fish was over cooked and over fried and cost about 13.00. So in summary lovely place to have a drink but I would eat elsewhere !!!

We moored up near the Telford Inn for the evening and had a very pleasant evening meal with a few drinks. The wide range of food was great, the quantity of food you received was spot on and the food itself was very tasty. I recommend the homemade steak pie it was lovely. All the staff were friendly and were... More

Called during a walk with our dog and were warmly welcomed by the lady behind the bar and the young man who was on his second day at the pub. We've visited this place before and have always enjoyed our visit whether in be just for a drink or food as well. A little quirky inside but for us this... More
