We had a "light lunch" here whilst attending an event in the nearby village hall. We hadn't booked, and on the Saturday, there was no problem and we, along with several others had a lovely relaxed lunch, washed down with local ales. The service is friendly and a little above usual "pub grub" food. On Sunday lunch-time, the place was... More

What a terrific pub! I'd been recommended The Falcon by someone who used to drink there several years back, and who thought the food was good. They weren't wrong. A simply splendid gourmet (£15.95) was well made - and cooked medium rare - using Wagyu beef. It came with fries, a blue cheese add-on and an intriguing little pot of... More

We booked the restaurant for 50 friends to help celebrate my 60th birthday. We spent time with Lee in advance to create a menu specifically for the event. The menu included a starter sharing platter with tempura prawns, meats, venison croquettes, humous, bread and more. This was followed by a choice of fish goujons, mac and cheese, beef bourguinion or... More

We decided to take our friends for lunch and were not disappointed. We all had the home cooked ham with chips and deep fried poached eggs, which we all said were excellent although none of us knew what to expect (such a clever invention Lee). Afterwards we had a cheese board for four which had a very good selection of... More

Took our friends for lunch at The Falcon in Rotherwick, excellent lunch superb food, nice drinks and very friendly staff. We all choose the Ham, eggs and chips with pineapple relish, all of which was just simply fantastic. The Ham is freshly carved from a gammon joint cooked in the kitchen, the eggs were poached and then deep fried and... More

We arrived early to put some decorations up. We were warmly welcomed and they were happy for us decorate our seating area. There were 14 of us and nothing was to much trouble for either the bar staff. They were both very polite and accommodating. I had the Ham Egg (fried poached egg) and chips. A weakness of mine but... Went for an impromptu meal on Friday night with my other half. Had a pint of Wadsworth 6X which was gloriously kept and tasted brilliant. Ordered a game pie and Wagyu beef burger. Food I'd describe as average and a bit underwhelming. Certainly had much better of both but also had worse. Service was mixed. One barmaid was on it... More

We had to leave our hotel due to a chimney fire. All eight of us dropped into the Falcon unannounced, hungry and thirsty at 5pm. We had a very warm welcome and had an early dinner in the pub. The food was excellent, the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Defiantly will be back.
