Absolutely fantastic, couldn't fault the food or service. We ate early New Years Eve and it was wonderful. It made the end of an old year and start of a new lovely. Thank you!

We were a party of 5 treating my elderly dad to a nice meal, trying to take his mind of his wife, my mum passing away 2 days previous We paid food bill at bar, on returning home we was charged for a extra rounds of drink. the peppercorn sauce for the steak we were told by waitress it was... More

Hello, We over charged you for one round of drinks which I was happy to refund as there was a mistake made. In no way was I rude on the phone, we went through the itemized bill and agreed the refund which we immediately refunded £23.70 without any question. The Peppercorn sauce clearly states on the Menu that they are... More

Having visited and loved The Northey over the past few years, the last couple of visits have been a real let down. The food was great (when corrected), although tainted by the poor service. We had to wait and ask repeatedly for menus. Food came before drinks, our starters were not cleared and mains came out. One order was wrong... More

On our way back from visiting a relative near Melksham and we needed lunch. We spotted the Northey Arms and are so glad we stopped. Good places are made better by the quality of the staff and the Northey wins hands down in this respect. We were made welcome, looked after well and all in a friendly manner. The food... More

Wanted a Christmas Dinner for just 2 of us and knowing other OHH locations, this was just as good. Visited on 23rd November and we were still able to have a quiet meal. Hubbub from other tables, but not offputting. Food was of a very good quality especially considering the business of Christmas. The quantity was also good; too much... More

We had dinner in the restaurant between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly. The Christmas decorations were festive but understated;including a real Christmas Tree and 2 open fires. We were allowed to take as much time as we needed to eat and didn't feel rushed at all. Our vegetarian tagliatelle was tasty and served... More

We had lunch at the Northey today. It was our second visit for a lunch and we enjoyed the food. My wife and myself had the liver and my mother had the tempura prawns as a main course. We all had a sweet. Everything was perfectly cooked . The waitresses were efficient, professional and cordial. The Christmas decorations and roaring... More

Elaborate sounding impressive menu but food was very average. Had vodka infused gravalax which looked prettily arranged but didn't taste of anything more that normal smoked salmon. Then Wiltshire ham, with duck eggs and homemade chips. Ham tasted like supermarket ham, not sure the eggs were duck eggs (duck egg whites aren't usually brilliant white, these were) and the chips... Picked The Northey because of its location (people from different towns attending) and it has a good reputation. Wasn't let down at all. It's a lovely pub/restaurant with a good selection of lager, beer, wine and spirits and a good food menu. We were served mostly by the young French lady, who was lovely and very efficient. We all enjoyed... More

We were shopping in Bath and after suffering the crowds decided we deserved lunch at the Northey on the way home. The resturant was crowded and they just managed to squeeze us in.this was on a Wednesday but when our food arrived I could see why the resturant was full The staff were delightful and our food was well worthy... Description
This pub has recently undergone extensive renovation and redecoration, transforming it into one of Bath's most popular venues at which to eat, drink and stay. Having received Michelin and AA recognition, quality and consistency is the focus in the kitchen, where every ingredient is sourced through exhaustive research of our local suppliers by executive chef Chris Alderson. Our wine list is carefully chosen and we regularly feature guest ales and beers. We have recently expanded our accommodation facilities by adding five new beautiful rooms, including four new standard king size rooms and one superior family/twin room.
