Very rarely do I find a perfect cuppa and perfect cake in one place after a hike but I did today. Simply one of the classiest, tastiest and scrumptious cake I've ever had (chocolate mint) along with an above average Birches brew. Thank you xx

Montgomery has loads to offer: the Castle, Checkers restaurant, the church, Offa's Dyke, the monument walk, the ironmongers and the general setting. But my cycling group has been known to map a route there simply for the the purpose of ending up at Castle Kitchen for their array of home-baked cakes and coffee. And every friend or family member I've... More

Met up with some friends here for tea and cake. What a beautiful place - really cosy, great service, friendly staff and brilliant cakes. Almost wish I lived in Trefaldwyn/Montgomery so I could visit often! Diolch.

We called at this quaint cafe for a drink and snack on Easter Sunday. Due to the fact it was Easter and a cold day it was very busy down stairs and sadly the only table free was blocked by a buggy., so we headed upstairs to be greeted by a room full of noisy and arrogant cyclists a few... More

We had a quick snack lunch here and selected the soup of the day which was served with a choice of fresh bread. Simple food prepared and served well.

Six of us stopped by after a visit to the nearby Andrew Logan's sculpture museum. Berriew is a very picturesque little village. We had two kinds of homemade soup - vegetable and broccoli- followed by Welsh Rarebit or quiche with fresh mixed salad and homemade coleslaw. Everything was tasty, served quickly and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. The... More

This charming café is situated in a quirky old building which exudes atmosphere and charm. The simple but delicious food brings a smile weather on a cold WInter's day when one is warmed by the food on the inside and by the fire on the outside or a hot Summer's day when one can sit outside and enjoy the peace...
