Excellent, attentive service and knowledgeable waitress. Food was very good and the fish and seafood especially was delicious. What more can you ask for? Would definitely come back.

We came here for dinner on our last night in Scotland and were not disappointed. We had the soup and 500g mussels for starter which were both exceptional. We then had the clam spaghetti and cod special for main which were both delicious. The waitresses...More

Don't expect to be fawned on by flunkies minutely describing dishes, the wine list is functional, but forget all that: the seafood really zings. Brown crab was immense (you're just left to get on with the delicious deconstruction process) and followed by God's own fish...More

Fantastic setting, casual but friendly atmosphere and great range of dishes on menu. Portion sizes were generous. Quality and freshness of the food matches the price- well worth a visit. If your going in autumn/winter try to go early so that you can enjoy the...More

Glad we didn't follow satnav to find this restaurant as we would have ended up in the Loch. Basic dining room but staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The food could not have been fresher. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this restaurant. Hope...More

After a very weary day walking the West Highland Way in the rain, we took a taxi to this marvellous loch side restaurant. We had a variety of sea food starters, all of which were delicious but the piece de resistance was the spaghetti a...More

Lovely seafood, as fresh as it gets, and lovely staff who looked after us well. Brightly lit modern dining room with tall ceilings and no soft furnishings has little atmosphere and tables are basic and packed in to try to meet demand. Maybe a further...More

Fabulous selection of fresh fish and shellfish served in unfussy but stylish cafe overlooking the loch. Friendly and efficient service but not rushed in any way. We made a big detour to come here and were not disappointed. We will definitely return next year.

Description
Lochleven Seafood Café, Deli and Gift Shop is situated on the shores of beautiful Loch Leven3 (on the B86 in North Ballachulish) on the west coast in the Highlands of Scotland. Allowing the sea loch and mountain views to take centre stage alongside our simple yet elegant seafood dishes, our café is designed modest and unamusing. Live shellfish for our family run Restaurant and Deli is kept in onsite seawater tanks where the water is pumped continuously from the cold clean sea-loch on our shore. After being caught locally by our own fishing boats, the shellfish is stored in these tanks. This allows our Chefs to access the freshest possible west coast seafood for the Restaurant and our Deli.
