Treated to Sunday lunch by our daughter and son-in-law. The ambience, food and service could not be faulted. An enjoyable experience had by all.

Myself and a friend thought we would try the carden out as we haven't been in since its refurb. They have done a fab job, it has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Will certainly be going back more often.

Great friendly atmosphere. Not your usual pub food, excellent chef who can really cook . Lovely to have the village pub open again.

Excellent food two weeks running. At last a place that can create interesting and flavourful vegetarian food.

I have lived in the area for 30+ years, and yes they have made a good job of the refurbishment, but what has happened to the regulars, what has happened to the atmosphere why are all the staff look unhappy and unfriendly. The mix is far from right of a village pub and because of its location it will never... More

I visited on a Tuesday evening around 20:00. I was staying in the area but did not want to eat in the hotel I was staying in. I looked at recent reviews and thought I would give Carden Arms a try, first impressions were good but I became worried when the waitress who took my order came across as totally... More

The Carden arms has recently undergone a complete facelift under new management. It's very well done. The interior is friendly and well put together. The staff are great. The selection of beers excellent. We had lunch there, three of us. It's a short menu...always a good sign...and the food is very well prepared. Very tasty, very good. Well presented. Nice... More

we went for a birthday meal two days after it opened for food. We thought it would be lovely and were a bit disappointed. there isn't a menu as such, it is hand written with whatever the chef fancies cooking, which Is a nice surprise, no chips which is another nice surprise. I had a beef stew, looking forward to... More

Linda and I were lucky enough to be invited to go to the pubs restaurant pre-opening taster evening. Upon entering, I found the Carden arms decor to be tastefully done with a timely consideration towards both the pub and the lovey village in which it is situated. The staff were smartly presented, helpful and very polite. The atmosphere was pleasant... More
