Very popular place to eat or drink. Booking is essential, particularly on a Saturday night. We visit regularly, the atmosphere is always buzzing. The menu is interesting particularly the Specials. Fish is always interesting and delicious, difficult to choose. Never disappointed with food, service and...More

I booked this establishment for a lunch with my family, as my wife had organised a works do there the week before and it went down very well. I'm rather pleased I did as this place is a classic country pub. Great food, great service,...More

Excellent drink of prosecco and elderflower, good service and really good roast dinner. A little confusion when we first came in as one bar staff said that food was being served and when we came to order 5 mins later and we'd set up our...More

Brilliant gastro pub with excellent food. I would have doubts in recommending this venue for friends and family. Try the Thai chicken salad it's superb!

I have eaten at the Boot in the past and have always been impressed and planned on booking a table for my husband's 30th, inviting his friends and family. I was delighted to find on their website that they now offer a teepee for private...More

The Boot is close to the Stratford Canal (signposted) and is clearly a group of old buildings and pleasant with this in mind. It is part of the Lovely Pubs group which is a recommendation in itself to those people living in the area of...More

Description
"The Boot Inn is a very popular eaterie in this thriving village. You are likely to see married couples celebrating whatever they choose with a bottle of pop, as well as younger couples on early impress-me dates. The restaurant itself is beautiful, light and airy, decorated very simply with great sophistication. The crowd is comfortable and chatty. The Pacific Rim/Mediterranean menu is confident and inventive.

What's cooking?

For starters, try the asparagus spears with pancetta and cherry tomato salad, or the speared tuna nicoise. For mains, you could have the straight forward ribeye steak au poivre with chargrilled tomato and frites, or a complex dish like the spatchcock poussin with lemon, marsala, and rosemary and whipped potato. Very strong wine list."
