Decent ale and service okay. But needs a damn good clean and smartening up, could be so much more with lifeboat heritage but walls are a mess of tat! Toilets are not clean, various things broken for over 6 months...not acceptable!

Had fish & chips here last week, the atmosphere & food were just what we needed getting in out of the cold. Would recommend.

Visited today for lunch. We tossed up if to visit the Fisherman's Joy or the Lifeboat. So pleased we decided on the Lifeboat. The atmosphere when we walked in was friendly and welcoming. The food was superb i had grilled skate, my partner had belly...More

This was our fourth visit to The Lifeboat. We stay locally and always pop in for a couple of meals. Always great cask ales. The food is well cooked, plenty of it and a good choice. Last night was ham eggs and chips for us....More

Meet my daughter for lunch today. Had a very enjoyable meal with excellent service. We did manage to book a table yesterday, needed as it was busy both inside and out.

Came here back in March had a good lunch then so when we came back this had to be the first place to return to and wasn't disappointed good portions very tasty will come back again well recommended so give it a go

Good wholesum food plenty of it Sunday roast takes some beating fish or sea food great parking can be a problem also when finished eating a nice walk along the sea front also beer a good selection of draught beers and ciders
