This was a super find, we sat outside and watched the locals come and go for takeaway pizza, so we knew it would be good. Our kids loved the pizza, whilst I had a risotto that was very tasty, my husband opted for lasagne and it was good also. The staff were very friendly, I did catch their names, but... More

We enjoyed this place immensely. I wanted to get Napolitan style and we were advised that the other places in town didn't have ovens that were hot enough. After now sampling San Lazzaro I totally see that. The crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh and lovely. The service was good. I saw some other reviews that panned the... More

Good pizza, fresh toppings. Nice staff. We will definitely revisit. Better than we expected when looking at the place

The in-house tiramisu monoporzione was just superb - sweet (but not too sweet), soft and creamy. Pasta and various sauces great but the 'al tartufo' - Truffles, was tremendous. Excellent and so helpful service and wifi

Summer 2014 we as a young family of four visited Pizzeria San Lazzaro during a trip tpo the amazing Cortona. One of our missions on our Tuscan holiday was to find the best Pizza in Italy. This family orientated Pizzeria though positioned on the main road may notpresent as the quintessential Tuscan delight you would dream about, produced what we... More

On our way back from a visit to Cortona, we stopped in Camucia, hungry for lunch. A woman in a local shop suggested Caffe San Lazzaro. She told us they even served pizza during the day. The restaurant was just around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! They greeted us warmly and... More

I am also fairly surprised by the negative reviews. My family believes the meal at San Lazzaro as one of our better ones during a week long trip to Italy. The waitstaff greeted us wonderfully-- they couldn't move tables under the awning fast enough to get us seated. After ordering they sent a complimentary white pizza (cheese and garlic) to... More

This restaurant had really nice pizza, although my friend got food poisoning from chicken. The waiter and waitress were really grumpy and we would never go back there or recommend it.

I was surprised to see some of the other reviews, as we have just returned from this Pizzeria (which is located in the town of Camucia which is just below the walled town of Cortona itself) and had a wonderful meal. After ordering we received the customary bread, but in addition we received complimentary garlic pizza bread. A delicious way... More
