I really like the Maison de Filippo is one oft he well known places in town. Very good meat and great desserts. It serves typical food of the area.

My wife and ate here 40 years ago on our wedding trip.. We found the food just as good and plentiful as it was then. We highly recommend La Maison Tradition for 45 Euros but make sure you fast for a day before so you have room for all the courses and parts of the courses. Service was excellent too.
Despite the language barrier, we had a great time. Warm cosy atmosphere. Tastefully decorated in typical country style. Food was very good.
First things first - probably better in the evenings, at lunch the rooms feel tight, whilst at dinner they might feel cozy. Secondly - among a certain generation this place is known because a few scenes of a very popular comedy of the 70's were shot here. Sadly, that's about it... Service is very good, food is very average, mostly... More
La Maison de Filippo is one of the oldest Restaurant in Entreves (close to Courmayeur). The Soup was very good and the service too. The ambient is old style. I suggest to try bagna cauda. The wine list was terrible.
Mind you I love rustic restaurants and mountain huts, often better than Michelin Star restaurants, but this place is a joke, the food is awful, the service is bad, you can tell the owner has no clue about the business and doesn't care much. In a region with great hospitality and facing one of the most amazing hotels I have... More
The surroundings are really fantastic, and when you come into the restaurant the expectations really go up - it looks fantastic and the decor, the house everything. But the service was as a start not very good, it seemed that they were only interested in selling the around 50 EUR menu. We were not looking for saving money, we just... More
Cheese and general 'heavyness' abound in this restaurant. Really not refined/inspired at all. Very limited selection of rather basic dishes .....that virtually all (except for the fish and the deserts) came with the same cheese on it; ....cheese on your steak etc etc.. We chose tagliata (sliced steak) as that came without the cheese. It was in fact very basic... More
This was a recommendation from a friend in Milan who is fluent in Italian. Luckily I speak reasonable French or we would have struggled. Neither of us felt up to the tasting menu which looked absolutely fantastic so went for pasta which did not disappoint. Oh, and huge portions as well. Ice-cream and sorbet were probably some of the best... More
All our friends told us to look forward to the good food we'd have going to Courmayeur, and our hotel advised us to go to the Maison de Filippo. First of all, good luck on finding the place. Then, good luck not having a cardiac arrest when getting in this horrible parking lot. But this might still have been the... More
