I am all for supporting local, but three satays for $15.00 when you advertise 6 and 5 prawns, next to nothing veggies and lots of oil is not worth $19.00 for a prawn and cashew. Rip me off once, you won’t get another chance. Lots of options in Majors Bay Road. Also had to ask for cutlery that had not been touched by everyone cause it was on the bench. Those days are gone, do not let people put their hands all over the plastic cutlery

We are not in the business of ripping people off. We pride ourselves on generous portions and we also portion our vegetables per stir fry, as we do with our prawns. . They're fresh so perhaps one got away the day you visited! Our chicken satay skewers are a best seller, they are thick and chunky with lots of satay sauce, not the small skinny ones. We take your feedback on board. Our takeaway cutlery is individually packaged so I am a little puzzled by your comments regarding peoples hands all over them?. Toni, If you really are "all for supporting local" we would really appreciate you contacting us directly with your concerns so that we can improve our service. It is a better option than taking to avenue of leaving harmful reviews on Trip Advisor for small businesses that are already struggling during the pandemic. It's what true locals do. Thank you.

Best food! Fresh food! Everyone loved it including my husband & I, catering was on time, food hot, living 40mins I was impressed. The food is divine. Hubby happy bday boy. Thank you!

Absolutely Disappointing Service and Food.

Very poor service, the staff were overwhelmed and just couldn’t serve customers in either a professional or proficient manner. We ordered mini spring rolls, and curry puffs and chicken satè skewers, then told 15 minutes later that there’s no curry puffs or spring rolls… then about 10 minutes later a dish we didn’t order arrived on our table, And after I handled the dish with my fingers and questioned the staff, they said sorry… not yours and took it out to another table outside. All this in the height of Covid???, we ordered two tofu dishes for our mains , my partner didn’t have ANY signs of tofu in her dish… very, very poor. When we went to pay the manager/ owner was extremely rude, we didn’t get what we ordered, we received another meal, which wasn’t ours, took it away and they tried to charge us for it…, there was no apology, they only opened at about 5pm, but were already running out of food by 7pm… absolutely ridiculous and when we did get some of the food we ordered, it tasted very average… I’ll never go back, there’s so many other good Thai restaurants in the inner west that simply leave this (so called) restaurant in their wake… again very disappointed.

Terrible,declined, once was great place

Restaurant must have changed owners, as restaurant changed name slightly. . Its terrible food now,oily, hardly any meat or seafood in dishes. So sad, as it used to be best Thai restaurant on major Bays,and I have lived in the area 15yrs, and was a frequent customer.

Thai resturant quick service food ok

Had Lunch on a weekday and not many people. Got quick service and the food was ok. Good quantity and reasonably priced. Council parking is not far from the resturant

My wife & I had lunch at Bay Wok today & truely the food was great. It took a little while which we didn’t mind because we could hear the chef cooking it & that is the way we like it fresh on the plate. The taste of our meals were so good & not like a lot of Asian restaurants which go very heavily on the palm sugar & every meal is too sweet & tastes the same. Compliments to the chef & not forgetting the charming lady who looked after everything and took the time to talk to us about each meal. She was great. We know the owners & respect there professionalism in the catering field & want them to convey our thanks to the staff. Recommend to all to try this restaurant for their special twist to Asian food. Disappointing!

Baywok was once a good restaurant, but sadly is no longer. We ordered home delivery as we were unable to go out, but wish we hadn’t bothered. The food was so disappointing. The chicken & prawn Penang curry had 4 pieces of dry over cooked chicken & 4 prawns in a thin watery sauce that was only edible because there was too much chilli, no other flavour, just chilli. The pepper beef had more mushrooms than beef & was also in a thin, watery flavourless sauce. We had 2 entrees, but both were as disappointing as the mains. Prawn & bamboo dumplings & salt & pepper squid. The dumplings had thick chewy pastry, minimal flavour & none of the expected crunch from the bamboo. The salt & pepper squid had absolutely no flavour, no squid flavour, no salt, no pepper, nothing. At close to $80 plus a tip, this has been the most disappointing meal we’ve had in a very long time! Won’t be bothering again, I’d rather cook my own Thai food, it’s better & cheaper!

Nice Thai Restaurant

I have visited this restaurant a few times. It is always tasty food. Meal sizes could be a bit bigger. Nice location outdoor seating. Would recommend to other people.

Fantastic on all fronts

We chose Baywok to cater for an important family milestone at our home. From start to finish we couldn't fault a thing. We were invited to do a tasting and immediately knew we'd chosen the right caterer. Easy to deal with and very accommodating to all of our requests. The restaurant in its own right is fabulous with an inviting atmosphere and fresh food. We chose our menu after an obligation free tasing and had a team of chefs turned up on our doorstep and cook our selected menu to perfection. It was that easy. Our guests were most impressed with the food and service. The live woks were a real highlight and the food presentation was flawless as was the service. Our wait staff and team of 2 chefs were very efficient and cleaned up after service to leave our kitchen spotless. If you're looking for onsite catering with fresh cooked food and that wow factor look no further than Baywok. Thank you to Dan, Rob and Aun and the team for all your support throughout our event. 5 stars all the way!

Fantastic catering

Thank you so much to Dan and the team for the outstanding catering. They made 100 delicious noodle boxes for a luncheon and catered for special diets with a smile. Great value, delicious, excellent correspondence and on time delivery. Amazing!! We’ll be using you again for sure!

Good, fresh and reliable Thai

I have never eaten in the restaurant, but the takeaway is always hot and fresh. The range is great, there are the staple dishes and some twists and fusion dishes. Best Thai in the area, hands down.

Best Thai food Ever!!!
