Right at the waterfront the restaurant Oostergoo is situated. A cozy authentic fishermen restaurant. The menu is not extensive, but there is something for everyone. The Waterfront terrace gives a great view. So overall. When you visit Grou. A must do. Especially in the summer

They have enlarged the outside terrace overlooking the water which looks pretty. You can watch the boats passing by and those having dinner at the restaurant are even allowed to moor in front. We were staying at the hotel and had guests for dinner. The dining room is traditional and on cooler days, the chimney fire gives a cosy touch,... More

Hard to find fault with the location, right on the water. Service while pleasant was a little slow, but not a disaster. The menu reasonably comprehensive had a good range of starters and mains, both meat and fish but while it was all prepared and served well it was hard to get excited about it especially as it's not an... Beautiful amazing old fashioned restaurant, with delicious cuisines!!! Enjoyed the five course meal and since I didn't speak Dutch, I was given my own English menu of which I was very much able to choose everything I wanted clearly.. Beautiful beautiful one to be place.... Excellent indeed.!!!!

We were here for 3 days and on the first day, the weather was super, so we decided to lunch on the terrace. Beautiful sight at the water and the boats and very friendly staff. We ordered the Oostergoo salad but were rather disappointed to see that there was no salad at all: just a little circle of potatoe salad... More

After a fantastic boat ride we relaxed here for a great wining and dining experience. We lounged on the water side before going to our table. Though the interior is a bit dated, it oozes an original Frisian atmosphere. Food was very enjoyable, we will definitely go back. Tip; ask for the round corner-table in the window on the water... We planned a surprise anniversary lunch with seven people for our parents at one of their favourite places and were not disappointed. Marcel Oost, who owns the place, prepared the regular clients table with nice white linen for our lunch and we thought that was quite an honour. Our waiters were friendly and professional and the owners personal touches were... More
