A location that I often pass by by motorcycle. Today we sat in the sun on the terrace in beautiful spring weather (and not for the first time).
Terrace is beautiful and has a beautiful view. It was pleasantly busy and the service was adequate. All very friendly and helpful.
Drinks and food are served in a timely manner. The flammkuchen tasted particularly good.
Great place to enjoy a drink and a snack with a view that is rare by Dutch standards.
Lunch menu could be a bit more extensive

Our wedding day on May 25, 2024 became unforgettable thanks to the beautiful location, good and friendly service and great communication with the owner! The food was delicious.

On March 22, 2022 we celebrated our wedding at the Lodge. Even during the discussions beforehand, we knew we were in good hands. There was an immediate click. Shortly before our wedding, disaster struck the Lodge and there was a fire. We feared for a moment that we would have to look for a new location at the last minute. But Ilona and her entire team are fighters. They came up with an alternative for our party and no one noticed what was going on in the background. We and our guests enjoyed it and after the wedding you will regularly find us in this beautiful place. It always feels like coming home again!

We have eaten regularly at the Lodge in the past. It's always been to your liking.
But last night was really not good.
New cook? Sauce on the steak bland, same sauce on the schnitzel 🙄
There was also a wedding on the lower terrace.
Maybe make too much hay?
The drink was always left on the tableau on the table. The soda was lukewarm. You can't order too many different dishes at the table. Very sorry about this beautiful location.

The food was mixed the toasted bread and the ‘Reibekuchen’ were great. The ‘zuurvlees’ was lukewarm, small portion and not that tasty. The fries were ok.
The view is fabulous and the service is ok.

Been coming to the Lodge for years, always ordering the same dish: the Club Sandwich.
4 weeks ago I visited again after not having been there for a couple of weeks. I looked at the (unchanged) menu and ordered my sandwich. When brought to the table, I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that the dish had been changed quite a bit. When I asked about it, it turned out the restaurant had changed hands. The new owner told my they would be keeping up the old menu, with their own twist, until they would changeover to a entirely new concept end of January. Although I was surprised because of the unexpected and unannounced change, the dish still tasted great.
So, today I visited again with my parents. After looking at the (again unchanged) menu, I told them the sandwich had changed, but still tasted great cause it now had 2 nice thick slices of bread and fried mushrooms and onions on top of it. Our excitement, however, dropped when the dish got served and the slices of bread had been cut in half and no mushrooms or onions where to be seen. When I called out to the owner to point out that the dish had been changed again ánd been dressed down significantly (price $15 still unchanged) she lashed out at me. I had barely said a word when she started a scene in the full restaurant, yelling (an I quote): "You again?! This is the way we do it and if you don't like it we don't want you here!". When I tried to reason with her that she could hardly expect no comments to be made when the menu/price had stayed the same but the dish had been changed again and been cut in half too, she literally picked up our plates and summoned us to pay and leave the restaurant. It will come as no surprise that we not wished to stay another minute after having been treated this way because of no fault of our own...
Too bad after all these great times, but the way we've been treated by the new owners is nothing else but to be considered absolutely appalling. Luckily for them, we will never be returning again.

We have been coming to Lodge 7 for more than 10 years on and off. Today we ate the goulash soup, it was delicious. Homemade, tasty and warming on a winters day. Keep up the extra lunch specials it’s nice to be able to choose something different from the regular menu.

The best of this restaurant is the location, the view is absolutely great!! However the food is also very good, we were really pleased with our choices and the staff was really friendly and happy to help.

We had a good lunch.
Service was excellent and the view is always spectaculair.
The food was good, but serving it on a hot plate would have been really great. Especially for French fries!

My husband and I come here regularly. The restaurant has a beautiful setting and the view is amazing. The waiters are super kind and make sure you have the best time. The food is amazing. The chef has the ability to give every dish a special flavor! I would recommend this restaurant to everybody that wants a special moment.

magnificent view and where there's served very good coffee. We had a great relaxing time there after a very good walk in the woods.
The service is excellent and the people are very friendly.

An excellent place to enjoy the scenery, good coffee with Limburger vlaai (try the forest fruit one). It's a bit pricey but worth it for the relaxed atmosphere and view.
