Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was mixed the toasted bread and the ‘Reibekuchen’ were great. The ‘zuurvlees’ was lukewarm, small portion and not that tasty. The fries were ok. The view is fabulous and the service is ok.

Been coming to the Lodge for years, always ordering the same dish: the Club Sandwich. 4 weeks ago I visited again after not having been there for a couple of weeks. I looked at the (unchanged) menu and ordered my sandwich. When brought to the...table, I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that the dish had been changed quite a bit. When I asked about it, it turned out the restaurant had changed hands. The new owner told my they would be keeping up the old menu, with their own twist, until they would changeover to a entirely new concept end of January. Although I was surprised because of the unexpected and unannounced change, the dish still tasted great. So, today I visited again with my parents. After looking at the (again unchanged) menu, I told them the sandwich had changed, but still tasted great cause it now had 2 nice thick slices of bread and fried mushrooms and onions on top of it. Our excitement, however, dropped when the dish got served and the slices of bread had been cut in half and no mushrooms or onions where to be seen. When I called out to the owner to point out that the dish had been changed again ánd been dressed down significantly (price $15 still unchanged) she lashed out at me. I had barely said a word when she started a scene in the full restaurant, yelling (an I quote): "You again?! This is the way we do it and if you don't like it we don't want you here!". When I tried to reason with her that she could hardly expect no comments to be made when the menu/price had stayed the same but the dish had been changed again and been cut in half too, she literally picked up our plates and summoned us to pay and leave the restaurant. It will come as no surprise that we not wished to stay another minute after having been treated this way because of no fault of our own... Too bad after all these great times, but the way we've been treated by the new owners is nothing else but to be considered absolutely appalling. Luckily for them, we will never be returning again.More

We have been coming to Lodge 7 for more than 10 years on and off. Today we ate the goulash soup, it was delicious. Homemade, tasty and warming on a winters day. Keep up the extra lunch specials it’s nice to be able to choose...something different from the regular menu.More

We were here today and it was fine. It was very busy and the service and quality of the french fries is decreasing. The ‘kroketten’ were good. We will be here less often.

We had a good lunch. Service was excellent and the view is always spectaculair. The food was good, but serving it on a hot plate would have been really great. Especially for French fries!

An excellent place to enjoy the scenery, good coffee with Limburger vlaai (try the forest fruit one). It's a bit pricey but worth it for the relaxed atmosphere and view.

This restaurant sits at the base of the Wilhelminatoren named after the Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. It offers a view of the valley below. It is near Drielandpunt. The area at which three countries, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, meet at one point which...is also near the highest point in the Netherlands, a dizzying 372.5 meters elevation above sea level. The restaurant offers an extensive array of foods for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They feature the steak or fish on a hot stone dish. The hot stone cooks the meat or fish right in front of you. They cater as well as provide coffee and dessert if that is all you choose. Being with a fairly large group I got to see several dishes. The burger was good sized and looked delicious. There was a salad with pieces of cooked pork. I had the fish & chips. The fish was excellent. They also have a very nice selection of wine and beers. I saw the steak on a stone. It smelled delicious. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. The decor was a comfortable modern design that could accommodate large groups or smaller intimate parties. There was also an outside area where you could dine. They were very accommodating in allowing the many of us to pay separately with a pin card, credit card or cash. They are open from 10:00 to 20:00. In addition they are dog friendly.More

We came to this restaurant as a large family group. Though we had reservations, and the inside of the restaurant was completely empty, they decided to seat us outside on the patio. The tables they had reserved had us sitting all separately, and some members...of the party sitting in very harsh, direct sunlight. Most resaurants would help accomidate people, but we ended up having to move tables/chairs ourselves to try to get most of us underneath the shade of the umbrellas. After that, things only seemed to get weirdly worse. We were told that we had to 'remember what each person ordered' because they apparently couldn't handle taking orders from a large group. Over and over again, they seemed to have no idea how to handle us. Drink orders were mixed up, food orders were mixed up, and they kept telling us we ordered things when we didn't. The food was hit-and-miss. At our table, one family member enjoyed the shitake mushroom soup, and another enjoyed his burger, but my toastie sandwich was dry and nearly tasteless and my husband's meal was nearly equivalent to fast food. Overall, the food was average, but they really need to get their act in gear and learn how to seat and taken orders from larger parties. It was really quite ridiculous.More

After a walk in the woods we liked to have drinks in Lodge 7. The view is really beautiful and the place looks very nice. That's about it. As we entered the restaurant no one of the extensive staff was kind enough tot even say...hello. After we find a table we waited for a waiter in vain. Two different waiters came by the table next to us but never paid a second attention to us even after making eye contact. Fed up being neglected, we left the place as we entered as we have never been there.More
