We ended up coming here for most of our meals, great place to just chill and play pool or table tennis, food was excellent (best pancakes I had on the island) and the owners are really friendly

We ate here every day we were on the island. The food is fantastic, loved the indian food and the cheesy garlic bread. The place has a relaxing vibe with slightly dancey music and gets pretty busy at night. Its got pool, darts and ping pong too. The owners Sal and Nisa are lovely and we couldn't stop coming back.

The food I had here was the best on Don Det island! +the staf was amazingly smiley and lovely unlike in many other restaurants here (where you can easily get feeling they are doing you favour)

We went here a few times during our stay on the island and loved it every time. Their Indian and Lao curry dishes are top notch. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with questions about the area. This is a great bar to meet people and play a couple games of pool. Highly recommend.

The 4000 Islands Bar is sat over the Mekong and is run by the friendliest, most accommodating people on the island. Serving the traditional Beerlao, the extremely tasty Indian food was an unexpected find! This quickly became our go to place for breakfast and dinner.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Do not miss this place if you visit Don Det! We had some indian food and it was delicious. Our kids adored gulab jamuns! The lao coffee is also excellent! It was a real pleasure to have a lunch at the 4000 islands bar!

This bar is just by the pier (the "beach" where the boats leave you in Don Det), with a beautiful riverside view. The food and drinks were good, and the prices were similar to the ones in most bars around.

Lao owned and run by Nisa and her expat husband Sel. We served a wide variety of cuisine including some of the best indian and western food on the island. Browse through our music database or cue some songs on your own device. We like to serve up good times with plenty of cold Beerlao, domestic and international spirits. Riverside view just 10 meters from the beach landing of Don Det. We speak fluent English and can guide you with any query. If music is catching your ears on Don Det, there's a good chance it's the 4000 Island Bar. We want you to enjoy your stay in Southern Laos.
