Perfect place for family, friends, business etc. Very tasty food and top service! This old farm offers the perfect setting for a nice dinner!

My husband and I try to go to at least 1 Michelin star restaurant when we are on city trips. We have been to quite a few and this was, after &Samhoud Places in Amsterdam, the least impressive. The location is amazing. Its in the countryside with trees and mountains everywhere you look. A colonial farmhouse building with big, impressive... More

Lovely dining room with a pastoral view but the food was quite disappointing. Unimpressed by the tasting menu. Very tough fish which we were told was typical for cod although we have had tender and flavorful versions at other places in Northern Spain. Very fatty serving of beef. The taste of the dishes was odd and surprisingly muted for what... More

Took about 20 minutes from center or Bilbao to Boroa Jatetxea. The food was good although the waiting was a bit slow. And even though it was a rainy night, the park looked wonderful! Wish we were there for lunch instead of dinner.

We were being treated by our local family, and what a treat. Lovely chilled wine and a delicious collection of freshly made and exquisite tapas. Full menu available too. There's a children's play area set well away from the main restaurant so you can have a peaceful meal, and children were also welcome at the table as is customary here.... More

I had visited this restaurant a few years ago and happened to be in the area so I took the chance to see if they had improved further. And they had! I chose fresh asparagus for starters which were beautfully decorated and then for the main course a filet steak. The waiter kindly offered a half portion so that I... More

We came for mid week lunch. This is a delightful countryside surprise (after you have driven past the factory and warehouses just off the motorway). The food was delicious, but slightly fussy. Our trip took us to some of the best restaurants in the region, and this was good, but alien to the locale - which was a shame. Because... More

Definitely a great place to eat and enjoy the nature of the hills around Bilbao. I had kokotxas de merluza pil pil and taco de atun (tuna fish filet). Both dishes outstanding. The txakoli wine was from a winery ten kilometers away, and two cheeses from the Basque country. Excellent service, reasonable prices, I will return!

I have now visited this restaurant three times over the last four years, each time with my wife, each time having a different kind of lunch, and each time leaving wholly satisfied by the experience. For our first visit we had the big menu (then 65 euros, now 80), for the second we ate a la carte, and today we... More

Though we´d made no reservation and the restaurant later filled up to the brim, they have welcomed us to Boroa on 2014.04.12 without problems. We have arrived at 13 hours, which is quite late for lunch for us, but being the Basque Country my son and I have had to wait until 13:45 for the lunch service to start. We´ve... More
