We have been comming to Megalong valley tea rooms for almost 20 years. Their home-made pies and scones are amazing and we are glad they are still on the menu after new owners took over. It's lovely to sit outside with the valley views. They...More
Have always loved coming here but why must menu sensitivity to animal-friendly users swing right to the vegan extreme? I’m not a salad-loving rabbit & really miss the lunch omelette..(with goats cheese) I appreciate the array of choices but plain old vegetarians seem to miss...More

Thanks for the feedback
However you are factually incorrect. The omelette was indeed a great dish but the corn fritters that replaced it are certainly no more vegan friendly. (Egg and dairy) We also sell a lot more of these than the omelettes...More
A very friendly, welcoming outdoor restaurant and tea rooms. Pies were out of this world and the scones to die for, well worth a visit/detour if in the Mountains. Busy as weekends but a really chilled location for friends and family.
Beautiful drive down into the Megalong Valley. Lovely location - casual and welcoming. Great menu with plenty to choose from. Drinks list also extensive. Prices average to a little expensive. Service was very good although we waited quite some time for our main meals. Staff...More
This Cafe is well worth the drive down . The service is excellent and the food amongst the best in the mountains.
Worth a special mention is the home made pies. The beef pie is the BEST I’ve had anywhere.
A must visit!
Beautiful setting. Sit outside, watch the cattle, hear the birds - very nice.Chicken pie was delicious and so were the cheese scones. Kitchen forgot 2 of the orders and we had to wait a long time for them to arrive. Only reason I give them...More

We were served a tasty brunch under Megalong Valley Tearooms' trees by the sweetest lady. She recommended the locally-produced apple juice to my children and it was a hit. While waiting for our meal, we were entertained by the local birdlife, including a beautiful cockatoo....More
We ordered a vegetarian wrap and a vegetarian goulashy concoction. At the time we asked for small servings but were told this was not possible and were offered takeaway containers if we failed to finish. The idea was fine had the meals been worth it....More

Please keep in mind that it's always disappointing for a venue when people feel TripAdvisor is a better avenue to go down rather than just talking to the manager.
Obviously the two items you mention are incredibly popular both for vegans and non...More

We have a disabled ramp at the front leading onto the veranda. There is a small step into restaurant but very manageable. One of our toilets has rails but unfortunately not full wheel chair access.
I'm pretty sure you can... there are plenty of outdoor seating and I've seen plenty of ramblers stopping by here with their dogs in the past... may be off limits inside the wooden teahouse but should be ok outside
