Stumbled across this cafe for Breaky. What a find. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Delicious breaky. Traditional BLT was fresh & crispy bacon was so good. We really enjoyed the stunning Melbourne morning in the outdoor area under the shade of the trees.

Lunch at The Fitz Sunday outside on a brilliant sunny Melbourne winter day. Greeted warmly and drinks on the table in mins. All-encompassing menu options including a tapas menu very reasonably priced. We 3 went Tapas. Food just great - cooked and presented as a...place like The Fitz should do - no fuss. Drinks options although not extensive are all there - even a Seltzer. Staff efficient and friendly - we will be backMore

Thank you to the lovely waitress (with the pretty curly hair) for being so thoughtful and sweet both times I have come in for breakfast. The food was phenomenally presented (esp. the avo toast, bowls and eggs beni) and the service has been top notch....Lovely girls at the counter/coffee machine also. Will be back! Ps. The rooftop is awesome to score a table at for breakfast!More

What great service! We had a booking outside on the street level for drinks but asked to be moved upstairs where it was more lively and they were super quick to accommodate! Rapid with the drinks and the wait staff were soooo funny and made...the whole sitting just amazing! The waitress Jordan was extra fab!!!!More

Sadly, the meal I wanted to order was unavailable. However, the lamb salad was tasty and in a generous portion, though the lamb was a little dry.

Still drooling from our recent visit at @thefitzonbrunswickst The food, the vibe of place and service is absolutely amazing. . . With indoor and outdoor seating, it is perfect for all weather conditions - as we have in Melbourne! . . Coming to the food.....as usual it was hard to decide what not to get - but yet decision had to be made and we went for - * kickarse scramble with Salmon * Japanese noodle salad with salmon skewers. * Moroccon M’hanncha which is baked filo pastry * and Hangover cure & bery berry crush smoothies. . . The food tastes amazing and the portion size is good. The dishes are nominally priced and this is definitely perfect breakky/ lunch/ brunch destination. . . Much much recommend.More

Great place to be! Excellent food. Salmon rösti is well recommended. Service a bit slow, however food and location will compensate this. This is a review from Danny! Please see my other reviews for do’s and don’ts! Later!

My family and I just had the most embarrassing experience, we arrived and were seated, we weren’t even happily greeted firstly, a simple “hi how are you guys today” would have been nice. Putting that aside we were given menus and asked to start off...with drinks, my sister asked the waitress serving us (blonde bob cut hair, had a sarcastic attitude) What kind of mug sizes there was for coffees, rather then nicely and clearly explaining the sizes of cups the coffee comes served in, my sister had to try and get the answers out of the waitresses mouth as she sarcastically answered the sizes with struggle pretty much like “who gives a crap just order attitude” my sister ordered, I ordered and then my mum began to order. She was rolling her eyes and looking at us like we were idiots or a pest for asking what size Mugs there was. Why can’t you simply say we have a tall glass and small latte glass and a cappuccino mug!!! My sister assumed the order was to hard for her to remember, she was looking at us lost and irritated so my sister said maybe write it down and the lady replied “if you guys just order” (with a rushing impatient and sarcastic attitude) and I replied that’s what we are doing, you don’t need to be rude. She then stormed off without apologising or simply saying “sorry I didn’t mean to come across that way” and said “alright then I’ll just get someone else to serve use” she was ready to walk away! then we got up and began to leave she still had not got someone else to take the order or said sorry at all for her sarcastic attitude. Meanwhile people watching and laughing. And she yelled out to the 2 people who just arrived “there we go guys you can sit here now” at a 5 person seat even though there was multiple 2 and 3 seaters available. She made us feel so unwelcome and like our business wasn’t needed! Regardless if it was busy (wasn’t that busy at all) or regardless if she assumed our order was hard or annoying to take. We planned on all getting breakfast & drinks 4 adults, 2 kids. Where has the polite nice customer service gone?? I myself work in customer service and even if I’m alone and have 6 people in the store I still provide the most friendliest helpful service and never make a person feel like there request is hard or annoying to me. If you don’t want to be there and provide a patient service then don’t be!! Will never be coming to The Fitz again and I would not recommend coming here at all.. such a shame. A loyal customer lost! No one should be made to feel that way, you should never ever show you’re frustration to a customer! We asked a simple question that was have a right to know!More

Some 1 and 2 hour parking around the streets but it is a trendy area of Fitzroy, so parking is at a premium. Heaps of good Public Transport in the area. The Fitz is 347 Brunswick street Fitzroy
