On Friday May 5 I booked to celebrate my 68th birthday . 7 adults , 6 kids a baby and a dog ( yes dogs are allowed inside on the non carpeted areas ) for the next day ( saturday ) , the weather forecast being unfavourable. Arriving in dribs and drabs about 1.30 the weather had unexpectedly turned sunny... More

I booked my husbands surprise birthday party here and i am so glad i did. The landlord and lady were fantastic as were all of the staff going above and beyond what i expected them to do. The buffet was amazing especially as the majority of the food is cooked from scratch by the landlady and chef. I have been... More

Voted AFRM pub of the year several times this is a must visit for any serious real ale enthusiast. I live nearby in Woodchurch and often get to pop in for a couple on the way home from work (and hopefully longer is I can find a willing driver). Bar staff are always friendly and there's a lovely Romney Marsh... More

Our walking group stopped here for lunch. The bar area was quite busy with people who were obvious local, and who were very happy that we had joined them. The beer was good, and well kept, and the food was ridiculously cheap. A word of warning, though. I had my first, and probably only, Kentish pastry. and found it to... More

It was the perfect sunny spring day, straight out of a Rupert Brooke poem. It was Sunday, The Kent coastal towns and their pubs were heaving with tourists, so we plunged into Romney March, and half way across we turned up in the Midsomer Murder hamlet of Ivychurch. Could the little pub next to the ancient church possibly offer us... More

Dropped in after cinema at junction 9 wanting pub grub. Warm hello, a. Lovely fire roaring in the grate. Friendly staff, nothing seemed too much trouble! Probably I have a thing about chair pads, a bit flat ( see other reviews) but we were there to eat. Scrumptious pie and good meaty lasagne. No room for pud! See you again,... More

Lovely little pub, tucked away in Ivychurch, Kent. Plenty of parking and plenty of Real Ale always on tap and well kept. The food is pretty dam good also. If you are planing to eat its worth calling ahead to check availability, never had a problem getting a table but its worth noting the kitchen closes at 14:30 on a... More
