This is one of my favourite restaurants. The staff are always amazing, the food was delicious. I had sea bass as always when I visit here as it is cooked to perfection. If you have never been before, I highly recommend.

We visited for lunch and were politely welcomed by the maitre d' as we entered. The lunchtime menu was varied without being too extensive, usually an indication of too much pre-prepared food! The food was delicious and interesting, in its divergence from a lunchtime menu...More

Great service from the moment we walked it, seated right away and drinks order taken. It was my boyfriends birthday so they got him a birthday card and decorated the dessert. Food was very good quality- overall lovely time!

Why should there have to be a deposit paid prior to dining for a party of 8? I do not recollect having so to do at any other restaurant.

The Black Horse is a family owned Inn with character and style set in a small hamlet in Bedfordshire. The Black Horse was built in the 17th Century, and although it has been updated and given a contempory style, it still holds its charm and character. With it's exposed original beams, inglenook fireplace and low ceilings, the bar is warm and welcoming - perfect for relaxing with a drink or a glass of wine. The restaurant consists of two distinct dining areas each offering their own unique style and atmosphere with either garden or courtyard outlooks. Our seasonally changed menu's use only the freshest ingredients sourced locally (where possible). The dishes are expertly prepared and presented by a team of highly qualified chef's.
