This was my 4th visit to Donnellys this year and yet again it was wonderful, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Bruschetta, Hake and in particular the Fish Pie are delicious, Malbec if my favourite wine and to have this as a house wine is unusual but very welcome. My other visits were in the summer and the full... More

We stopped in late evening on way back to Galway and had a wonderful meal-cod and their special of beef medallions. We are able get a nice table by the fire in the bar which was very welcome on a cool, rainy evening. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

This was a lovely restaurant, with very happy, chatty staff. The food was delicious and hot. Two waitresses surprised my husband with a dessert and sang him "Happy Birthday". A lovely afternoon.

The food was beautiful and reasonably priced. We got 2 main courses, dessert and a glass of wine and a pint for around €50. It's a cosy place and the staff are friendly. Lovely place for couples and families alike.

On my way home rather than fighting 5 o clock traffic I stopped here for dinner. I had red onion and goats chesse tartlet and it was lovely. Had a seafood crepe for mains and it was good too. On the negative the side salad was overloaded with herbs. Friendly staff.

By far my favourite chicken dish ever, everything always tastes fantastic. Lovely traditional pub with a great atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal here on a few occasions. The garlic mushrooms are to die for along with the seafood chowder and soda bread. We finished with the selection of desserts which was just devine. Only disappointment was the poor selection of ciders - there was Bulmers and Bulmers!! Perhaps a bit more of a selection for us cider lovers?

Cecily and Ashley made us feel so welcome. Had great conversations at the bar and then moved a table right next to a roaring fireplace and had the most delicious meal of our trip! Heavenly mussels (I don't even like seafood) and the best brown bread of our trip. Great service, cozy, and so welcoming, exactly what we were looking... More

Authentic Irish pub, locals comfortably settled at the bar with their pints. Friendly service, excellent food. Haddock Mornay was superb!
