We had been told the meat would be the best in the region. It was. The 7 hour lamb mmmm. Menu selection, presentation and done in a way that made it a joy to eat The staff were so helpful and efficient. But the best bit was watching all the customers really enjoying their Sunday lunch in the packed Brasserie.... More

Cyril Attrizac is a star chef, whose innovative cooking draws fans from all over France and the rest of Europe. I returned to see whether his creative talent had been maintained over the year since I had last eaten here. A brilliant tasting menu combining great products and marvellous cooking techniques. The meal was superior to anything I have eaten... More

We ate in the "Brasserie" - Le Gabale - downstairs. There is a pricier "gourmet" restaurant upstairs. This was probably the most elegant "brasserie" I have ever eaten in. The food was excellent. There are basically two 3-course menus at 26 & 35€, and these are incredibly good value for money. Highlights of our meal (4 persons) included: a kind... More

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday, making our way from the south – it’s a convenient distance from the beaches of the Languedoc. We almost passed by as it’s attached to a hotel on the right hand side as you drop down into the town – we had expected it to be standing on its own. We ate... More

A long-established and consistently reliable Michelin-starred restaurant, just minutes from the Viaduc de Millau motorway. The 1960s timber-clad building is no architectural wonder, and the ground floor brasserie is noisy and bustling (although well above average). However, upstairs in the gourmet restaurant, the cuisine is assured, confident and delicious, Prices are fair and realistic, service is prompt and dedicated, and... More

We stayed at the adjacent hotel for one night. It was a Sunday and the main restaurant was closed. However, the Brasserie was open and we booked on arrival at the hotel. How pleased that we did! It quickly became obvious that this was the place to eat as it rapidly became packed - on a Sunday night, remember. The... More

The hotel is on the outskirts of the village which is at over 1,000 metres of altitude. We ate in the elegant Brasserie rather than the more formal restaurant and were delighted with the fare. I started my meal with ravioli of thinly sliced celeriac garnished with wild mushrooms and a chicken mousse in a fine chicken broth. This was... More

We stayed in Aumont last week and had the good fortune to eat in three fantastic restaurants all within walking distance. Across the road from chez camillou is a wonderful lunch and night stop with good tasty honest local food and friendly service. The excellent Gourmet brasserie across the road was a step up in budget but excellent value for... More

The food was spectacular and great value at the upstairs one star restaurant. Special accommodation was made for our vegetarian daughter. The courses were imaginative AND tasty.
