Went here yesterday to the restaurant and from the time we entered to the time we left our waiter was excellent. I wish I had took his name but his kindness and knowledge of the food we were ordering was outstanding. He even went to...the trouble of organising the dessert plate to be written in Chinese so that our friends mum was made even more special He was the reason we enjoyed the night so muchMore

I was greatly surprised and impressed by the quality of food and of service. It is a big space and I thought it might be a bit institutional. Far from it. We had a delightful young waitress, who guided us charmingly through the menu, which...was very interesting and had something for everybody. All the food choices were excellent, the wine list was good, and the service was excellent. This is a serious restaurant and is priced accordingly, which must come as a bit of a surprise to anyone expecting a cafeteria. Highly recommended.More

Took my wife for her Birthday dinner. Such a great venue, incredible food and wonderful staff. Personally had the Snapper for my main meal. Wonderful flavours. Highly recommend. PS: Thanks to the staff for the candle and birthday dessert.

Lunch here was a great experience, set in beautiful surroundings with sculptures all around on a huge garden with an ocean vista. A spacious restaurant with attentive staff a great menu & wine to match. There’s a tasting area where you can share tapas style...food also. Loved it.More

Attended Saturday night. My wife when she booked casually mentioned it was my Birthday. The service and food was excellent. Some restaurants have taken a while to get back in the swing of things post pandemic. Not this one! The service staff from the moment...we entered where on song from the host, to the wait staff and sommelier. Very friendly, professional, and attentive without being over the top even though it was a Saturday night with the venue being busy and booked out. My youngest daughter who is a fussy eater asked for a plainer version of her dish (the snapper) which was accommodated without fuss. My eldest daughter and wife had the barramundi for main and I had the eye fillet with the king crab pasta for entree. All were superb. I can’t rate this restaurant highly enough. We had the tiramisu for desert and cheese platter (mine with the obligatory birthday candle! ) Can’t wait for a return visit.More

Really disappointed about our lunch yesterday. The restaurant is more like a bistro or cafeteria. The interior was really disappointing too, with cafe-like furniture that was quite close to other tables. It was loud, filled with families, babies and high chairs. That’s all fine, but...given the price tag ($120 per head for three-courses) and severe cancellation/amendment policy (they keep half of $275 pre-authorisation for any change 2-5 days before, or 100% of it for changes up to 48 before), I was expecting something special. Ambience took away from experience. Food was nice, not amazing. Staff were great.More

Our visit was a special occasion to farewell family members who are relocating OS. Personally I was excited and very much looking forward to experiencing this well known restaurant and felt very spoilt. Walking up to the entrance is very grand, …. The boa tree...wonderful. We enter the building and the noise was very noticeable, … then you see that they charge each person $10 to actually walk around the grounds and look at the sculptures! Perhaps when your about to blow $600 or more on lunch they might give you a pass?? 🙄 2 out of 4 of us did the wine tasting . $10 a head for a standard tasting. If you purchase a bottle you get $10 off. When it was time to be seated we stood in a queue to wait until a table was cleared. No table cloths, no placemats, … ordinary cutlery. The acoustics in the area is terrible, …… you needed to raise your voice to chat, and it was difficult to hear the waiters. Between the 4 of us we had assorted dishes for the 3 courses ( you are charged for 3 even if you prefer not to have 3 courses!) …… presentation on the whole was very good, … unfortunately I don’t think any of us tasted something and were blown away . The bill came to $629 that included one bottle of white wine and a small carafe of red. In my opinion it was a ludicrous amount of money for an average meal in a noisy environment. The views and sculptures look grand from the restaurant’s sweeping windows, ….. we were lucky to have a table right on the window , but if you looked toward kitchen area we looked down a corridor that had cleaning bits and pieces or something, ……. Maybe a screen would be appropriate. The building itself is modern and has a wow factor, …. But I am afraid I would never ( nor would the others) ever go back OR recommend. There are a lot better restaurants on the peninsula with better food, ambiance and service.More

Wonderful location, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff to set off delicious food. However, for our group, the children’s menu was unadventurous and the children would have enjoyed small-sized portions of what the adults had.

Wonderful afternoon celebrating a long overdue & promised catch up and 50th birthday celebration due to Covid lockdowns and the subsequent fire at Pt Leo Estate. So good to be back again! Fabulous personalised service from the moment we arrived from all staff on the...floor & reception. I believe our waiter was Lincoln B (from my receipt) who along with others delivered friendly, profession, seamless service. Nothing was too much trouble. Our compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff for an exquisite 3 course lunch. Our birthday girl very much appreciated her special message with dessert. Lovely Pinot Gris (Wish I wasn’t driving), beautiful surroundings and view over Westernport from our allocated window table. Explored the sculpture walk & beautiful grounds afterwards. Always such a treat to spend time at Pt Leo Estate. Cheers for a successful Summer season. *Tip- Book in advance, Eat the dessert, Be kind, courteous & respectful to the brilliant staff who are working hard to make your experience a positive, delicious and memorable one. Thanks team for a perfect dining experience.More

While it doesn't have the intimacy and fine dining feel of Laura this is not a slouchy experience. The food was delicious and the service very good. The staff are working under tough conditions in this temporary space with a great deal of additional walking...and working across different spaces, they did this throughout the day seamlessly. There is obviously strong camaraderie amongst this team - well done all.More

After being dismayed by the news of the fire at Pt Leo, and thinking we couldn't use the voucher we were given for Christmas, we were able to book The Pavilion, newly opened. It might be makeshift while they are rebuilding the restaurant, but very...well done. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in, and it remained that way. We chose the 2 course set menu for lunch, and it was delicious. About 5 bite sized entrees, including mussels, and a very tasty pate`on a steam bun. Mains were crispy skin Barra and very rare strip sirloin, with a really nice salad and onion mousseline. We just couldn't fit in dessert, but did try something from the petit four trolley. Look, it's not cheap, especially the wine, but if you want to spoil yourself then go ahead. The wait staff were just lovely, and happy to have a chat. There's an amazing sculpture garden if you feel the need to walk off some of those calories!More

Four of us attended Pt Leo today for lunch. We have been to Pt Leo for quite some time and have always enjoyed our experience, however today was not an experience we would like to repeat. We understand there was a fire at Pt Leo...months ago and it was closed through lockdown and winter. We were so excited it had reopened and looked forward to enjoying lunch there today, but unfortunately that did not happen. We arrived and were taken into a makeshift din8 g area, which was fine, we totally understood they were still renovating where the fire had destroyed. We were offered still or sparkling water, and those that ordered sparkling were given flat sparkling water twice. The menu was given to us and it was not a menu to choose from, but a set “share menu”. The entrees were bland and not to standard. The two mains whic were shared were also not to standard. We were offered cheeses, th8 king this was part of this new sharing menu, only to be charged, above the price, and the dessert had no taste at all. The main was Barramundi, over cooked and very small portions, the steak, was already sliced, and chewy, and very little amounts per person. For all of us who regularly dine here for lunch it was a huge disappointment. The service of staff was ridiculous, two people organising wine, which became confusing, we were bombarded by four or five people, definitely overkill and intrusive. Our glasses of wine were empty too long, and the staff had no idea of what wine to serve first, and then trying to get us to taste the second wine while we had not finished the first bottle. In total, a very very disappointing experience, one we will not return to until the restaurant is renovated and operating.More

We were thrilled to be part of the Motorists Concours D’Elegance and from the moment we arrived at the gate the security staff welcomed us with a smile. On entering the restaurant area, once again, the staff greeted us with a smile and were most...welcoming and helpful. Not forgetting the breath taking views and the eclectic mix of the sculpture park. The cocktail function was most enjoyable, the canapés were delicious, as were the choices of various cocktails. Tho the weather was on the windy/chilly side it certainly didn’t spoil this wonderful experience. I couldn’t fault the exceptional customer focus and attention. One felt very much part of a family. We look forward to returning. Thank you to all concerned that made this a truly memorable experience. Keep up the great work!More
