i`m italian living in Tokyo and the ambient remind me a really italian trattoria. I go there often and the staff is really helpful, if you want to try different kind of food they can make you little portion of almost everything, and the normal portion are quite big ( i can't have both fish and meat like japanese people!)... (Possible Dislikes) 1) Non-al-dente pasta can be improved. 2) Not sure why they have to show us the special menu all written in Italian. (Possible Likes) 1) Strong and genuine espresso which is not something you can take for granted in Tokyo. 2) Exquisite Tiramisu. Overall, a place worth a visit for your special occasions.

Invited by Japanese clients to this off the beaten track little trattoria, we were treated to an excellent meal with great wine, atmosphere and service. I will definitely be back!

The admosphere was good, staff friendly but the food was very bland. All three of us were disapointed in our dish. Even the bread was tasteless and without butter.

Four of us really enjoyed the food... portions - very Japanese style - small, but very tasty and great! The only thing is... one need to make a reservation in advance. It is worth it. I do not know how to scale for Tokyo with 3-4 stars in costs... so I placed it as 3... perhaps, we should define for... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
