Chef Yasuda recommended this place to us after we ate at his sushi restaurant. This steakhouse was relaxing, well-priced, and some of the best food we had in Tokyo. A truly wonderful place for dinner.

The food here was delicious. Such soft and perfectly cooked meat! The staff were very friendly and helpful. But the best part of this experience was watching such a skilled chef cook our food (particularly the prawn!) at our table. I highly recommend both the food and the general atmosphere here.

This is a very cool experience, the chefs are very skilled and prepare and cook all the food in front of you with finesse and flair. For example - our chef cooked a jumbo prawn and used every part of the prawn very skillfully to make lots of different tastes and textures. Really wonderful and my partner and I left... More

Went here based on other reviews on Tripadvisor. Was not disappointed. The waiter and chef understood enough english and the menu had english too but that's not the reason to go here. Go here for the food. We ordered one of the multiple course items which came with soup, salad, fried rice, prawns, steak and bean sprouts. I have never... More

I was taken to this restaurant by a local family and it was my first teppanyaki experience so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wasn't disappointed. The Waghu steak was to die for - the best steak I have ever tasted, anywhere in the world. Watching the chefs cook in front of you is entertaining as well - highly... More

Very well situated teppanyaki restaurant, luckyly enough one of the chefs spoke some Englisch. The friendlyness and kindness you find all over Japan is even more extreme here. the showcooking and food quality (wagyu beef) are great. Not really cheap 80€ pp it still is worth the experience

Not a fancy restaurant, but the food and the service is really great. It is a little bit pricey, but you get professional service for your money. Do not forget to try the garlic chips.

My fiancée and I wanted to try traditional teppanyaki whilst in Asakusa. We found this very friendly place just 2 minutes away from our hotel - The Gate (also fantastic). The food was out of this world. Fantastic steak if you are willing to pay the price - but when in Tokyo ... The staff were so friendly and truly... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
