日本語レビューは一杯あるので、外国の方のために英語にて The taste is good, cost is not cheap, but In my feeling this is nice restaurant. Only one dissapointment, I'd already informed my friend couldn't eat oyster, but they forgot it & served oyster. So our hazy feeling remained. When I visited there, over half customers were not Japanese. I'm not quite sure that this restaurant's service is kind... More

This is Tempura Done Right. Make a reservation, show up, sit down, get a beer / sake, and then enjoy the show. If you *really* want to do it right, go for the top of the line "menu S"(?), and then stagger out a few hours later. (Oh yeah, the usual stuff holds. Minimal grease, batter made up on the... More

~we went for dinner after looking at TripAdvisor's mobile app "Nearby" rating ~we went at 5.30pm for dinner.. go a little earlier to skip the local crowd which start to build up from 7pm (it's on a split shift) ~We each ordered a Tempura set and watched as the chef chopstuck every fresh morsel into the tempura batter before deep... Ok tempura. Very old and poor-looking restaurant. For that place you can visit a much better tempura place. Won't go back.

I visited after an interval of several years. During these years,I have always told my friends the name of this restaurant when I was asked a question "Do you know somewhere good Tempura restaurant?" But I was disappointed this time. I regret that I told this restaurant to them. That was not good both dishes and cleanliness. At first, There... More

Great taste, seat was the typical over the counter style which was not very comfortable but understandable, best tempura ever, price was worth it!

I went to this place following the advise and the food and attention was really good. Problem is that when you get the check dinner it is at least 30% higher than lunch and on top they put service charge of 10%.. which makes the bill really high

I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to find this spot, as I had originally thought it was inside the Odakyu Halc department store building. After a frantic search, I finally located it. It's actually on a street level, not inside the dept store. Anyhow, the tempura. It's delicious, gorgeous and wonderful! It's not a life-changing experience like Kondo tempura did... More

This place is a hidden gem of Shinjuku - a family-owned restaurant that has been operating for decades. Very intimate setting (yet they graciously accommodated our party of seven). The chef prepares several courses of tempura, including a fish bone tempura that I'd never had anywhere else, and an amazing sea eel tempura. Great pairing with a bottle of sake... More

The space is hard to find. Our taxi asked a policeman about its exact location. There are twelve seats around the chef's cooking area ( counter ) and he prepares each dish at the counter. We had shushimi to start . The first dish was shrimp. Then some vegetables and several different types of fish were served . This is... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
