I went to Kisoji with my boyfriend and we decided to try the shabu shabu. It was really delicious and the service was great. The dinner was served in a typical Japanese style room. I recommend it if you want to have a taste of the real Japanese cuisine.

My first trip to Japan and my first Shabu Shabu meal. Wow! We ordered the "basic" level of beef and it was nicely marbled. We tried the two different sauces and neither my boss nor I much cared for the peanut-based sauce. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't as good as the other more clear sauce. We both "doctored"... More

Having read TA reviews my wife and I went on a Saturday evening for dinner without reservation as we had been on the move all day and couldn't be sure what time we would be ready for dinner. So we made a reservation for the next evening and got the staff to put in writing our reservation on a business... More

Tried the 6200 yen beef shabu shabu set. It comes with about 3-4 pieces of beef per person including vegetables, tofu, noodles and dessert which is quite adequate for myself who is not a big eater. The beef was really good and you just need about 2 seconds to get it cooked and the very thinly-sliced beef will just melt... More

Return visit to this place with another couple and we each ordered the 5400-yen beef set. The meal was excellent as always, from start to finish. Service was very good, with the waitresses coming over to cook the food for you, or if you preset, you can also DIY.

Went there 2009, and I still remember their delicious Shabu Shabu with Kobe beef, a Japanese fondue. Service and staff are very polite as you know it from Japan.

This shabu-shabu (and sukiyaki) restaurant was definitely the best place I have ever eaten shabu-shabu. My boyfriend and I had tried the shabu-shabu here on a date, buying the lowest quality wagyu beef they had. We bought extra meat too, as the meat originally provided is actually not enough for two people. The meat was so tender and delicious when... More

I've been here several times during my staying in Tokyo for business. I had always business dinners. The place is really nice, traditional but with modern flair. Nice and professional service with all ladies well prepared and waring Kimonos. The specialty here is shabu-shabu. I came here about 10 times and every time I was really satisfied. Good value for... Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
