Ok. This is a good restaurant for tempura. The cooks are really impressing. However, the prices are going fairly high and the side dishes are above average. What really bothers me is that i found this resto in 2 travel guides which is really suspicious. Go if you like tempura but the prices are not reasonable for a tempura restaurant.

This place already has awards from Tripadvisor. It is very welcoming to foreign tourists. The service is second to none. The food is wonderful. The chefs are friendly and show you the freshness of the produce before they prepare it before your very eyes. It is a seafood lovers delight. It even has an instruction sheet on how to eat... More

Brilliant! ...... not much more to say really. The food is excellent along with the service and the atmosphere you can't ask for much more. Good beers and a nice selection of wines. They have set menu's and A la carte menu, personally I would go with one of the set menus and top up if need be.

Had tempura on several occasions in Hong Kong prior to this visit, which was my first time in a "real Japanese" tempura restaurant. Went with the family for dinner to the main shop in Shinjuku, only to discover upon arriving that it was closed for renovations. Fortunately a nearby branch in Keio department was only about 10 minutes walk away.... More

If you like Japanese food, tempura should be no stranger to you. But this is a totally different experience! You sit at a bar table with the tempera serving piece by piece freshly deep fried! The food was good and the price was not expensive at all! You will just be amazed how specialise Japanese can cook food!

The Tempura here is amazing, made right in front of you fresh, tastes great. The people are really nice and helpful, this being our first time eating tempura, showed you what was what, what to do, made it a nice experience and really authentic, really enjoyable and delicious food.

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
