Had breakfast there one day during our stay. There is a breakfast buffet, but we ordered a regular American breakfast which was fine (would be hard for a restaurant of this caliber to ruin bacon and eggs!). One night we had dinner there. VERY generous portions and there is a prix fixe for approx. $50 which was a good deal.... More

I stayed in the Park Hyatt on business and used the Girandole for breakfast and had one lunch there also. Service was a little slow at times and food was not really hot but good quality and a lovely view.

This was the breakfast restaurant during our stay at the Park Hyatt. Gorgeous views, nice room. Service was immaculate (reflecting the overall impression of the hotel), we had the buffet including eggs, coffee, fresh juice.

Stayed at the Park Hyatt (magnificent - see review) and after an adventurous day ordered simply - beef curry, steamed vegetables (think broccoli....ahhh :)) and Creme Brulee. The Creme Brulee was simply divine. The best ever! (See pic.) Not a usual dessert lover but this was delicious, couldn't stop eating it!! If you love Creme brulee this is a benchmark!... More

I chose the 5 course menu and it was faultless. Amazing food, presentation, atmosphere and service. I have also visited the NY Grill upstairs and have to say I found the service a little less friendly. Girandole is my preferred choice at Park Hyatt. Definitely recommended.

We were in Japan recently and stayed at the front and back portions of the trip in Tokyo at the Park Hyatt. A few days, after long sightseeing days, we were too tired to go out to dinner so we ate in Girandole at the Hotel. The food was very, very good and I would recommend this restaurant to people... Great Pancakes, nice view, good service. Pached eggs a bit overdone - may be worth asking guests how they like their eggs.

The breakfast is way below average for a luxurious hotel of this grade. Normal spread and small. No one dish stands out. Some of the fruit juices are not freshly squeezed. What more can I say ? Skip ... Go stay in Andaz or Grand Hyatt for better breakfast.

I was expecting alot from this restaurant especially when it is located in Park Hyatt and is known as one of the best hotel in Tokyo. I have to mention that when I called for a reservation, the lady who picked up was so bad at English. She could not get the time right, my name or the number of... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
