Nice combination: rice-meat-pepper! It became my favorite fast food option in Japan. But after you go out your clothes smell like fried meat. Whatever, it's taste is good. I tried the whole menu, my favorite is sliced meat with rice&corn in the middle; I could not remember the name. I strongly recommend to try if you bored from sushi.

They literally serve you raw meat on a hot plate so you can cook it by yourself. Really unique and tasty

I actually went to both the Pepper Lunch here and the one in Kabukicho because I'd thought to compare these to the ones we've got in the Philippines. Although the menu isn't as diverse but the food tasted great! Wagyu beef and all that pepper and dried garlic on my steak. Plus, the servings are very generous for the size.... More

For my first experience in Tokyo i loved to eat at this restaurant to try different food from sushi, it was fast to make, and excellent.

We went here at the Kubukicho restaurant on a whim. Sure glad we did. The steak was amazing and the service was fast. We came back the next day.. Pricey but wonderful food...

We wanted to eat where we could get steak or beef, and by coincidence passed Pepperlunch, we had the most delicious tender beef with rice and fresh crunchy corn. I enjoy that you can cook your meet as you like as you fry it on a very hot iron plate. Also very affordable, cheap! We went 3 times, and we... More

This was real fast food. I don't know what some of the others ate who reviewed this so badly but if you do not want to wait to eat and enjoy some "good" steak for around $10USD this is an awesome spot. It's right across from the "Hachi" statue near the Shibuya crossing.

I have had this in a few Asian countries, it is just ok. If you order the larger size they give you almost no more meat just a lot more rice. It tasted bland even with salt lol. It is nothing special, I would look elsewhere for good Japanese meat, there are many fast food places like yoshinoya that taste... More

Hi all, We went to Pepper Lunch in Shinjuku last week. We found this place by accident and we were glad :) the food was so delicious. I ordered steak and it came in a hot plate with some bean shoots, two slices of carrot, few beans and plate of rice. Service is good as usual in Japan. The meat... More

We did not try the Pepper Lunch in Shibuya but the one in Oshiage near the Sky Tree. It was almost 10 pm and we did not have much time to look and find a decent place to eat. We went there and were pleasantly surprised. Service was nice, as usual in Japan. Basically you order meat that continues to... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
