I discovered this a few years ago and I try and go every time I am in Tokyo; both food and wines are delicious and the atmosphere lovely. Must try: the antipasti (typically five shared between two people--a lot of seafood and veggie delicacies hard to find anywhere else); spaghetti alla bottarga (karasumi), fregula with seafood, and mirto as a... I had dinner here as a work function with a group of 9 last night. The service was very efficient and the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We started with a mixed selection of antipasto which was great. The sea snails were a bit different but tasted very good and the rest of the antipasto was really good.... More

I am Japanese, living in Shibuya. I would like to let people, who are visiting Tokyo either for business, or sightseeing, know the good restaurants in shibuya. If you would like to have nice Italian food, with your friends, colleagues, or your partners, you should try Tharros. This restaurant, trattoria, not ristorante, serves local italian foods and wines, from Sardina... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
