Visited here with family (2A, 2C) after reading the many positive reviews. The place itself has a very nice ambience, darkly lit, more suited to couples who want to impress. The food is innovative but tiny portions (the avocado tofu that everyone says good is...only 2 pieces of maybe 2x2x2 cm). We paid over 9000 yen and was adequately fed, but for that kind of money, I found later there are many other places, even Kaiseki style that can feed you better (we came on our 2nd day is Japan so no inkling on appropriate price to pay for food yet). And soo many other places that look good in central Shibuya itself without having to walk to this place next to the railway track. The cheesecake (also small portion) was probably the best dish for us. Others... can’t really remember.More

Recommended by a friend and I loved the whole experience. I don't mind a bit of tofu but the variety and mixture of flavours offered was fantastic. Highlights included the avocado tofu, the hot tofu that was cooked at the table, along with the tiramisu...tofu. Decor was also great and the location near Shibuya station was very convenient.More

Visited this wonderful restaurant on our last night in Tokyo. Amazed at the myriad of dishes that they have created with the humble tofu, with each dish having different layers of taste... Having read that the portions are “tapas sized”, we order 11 dishes for...the 5 of us and we finished all of them! Even my wife, who was unwell, had a good dinner that night. The wait staff were also wonderful, with impeccable service and I believe that most speak enough English to communicate with the guests.More

Great food and service. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very unique. The avocado tofu is very good, different from anything I have ever eaten ;) The sweet potato and mushrooms tempura are also great. The tofu tiramisu was delicious! We also had great cocktails....Highly recommend!!More

We really enjoyed our meal here. We aren't huge tofu fans, but enjoyed the experience of the waiter making the tofu at our table in an authentic way and they had amazing other small plates! The tuna was melt in your mouth and we also...loved the peppery chicken. There was a really cool gin pop up next door which you should check out too!More

We visited this place recently after reading the very positive reviews and on a vege blog. Sadly, we didn't find much to write home about. To find it was not the easiest - there are lots of works going on around Shibuya at the moment,...so do factor in it is slightly more difficult to get to than somewhere on the main stretch. At other times, this would be lovely to find somewhere off the beaten path, but it isn't some hidden gem (it isn't far away, it's just tricky) and looks out directly onto the train line. We arrived without a reservation and they seated us outside - not the best view but I think was positive as non-smoking. The food was really very poor for vegetarians - a few options, but quite bland and unexciting. Perhaps the non-vegetarian dishes were more scrumptious but we left feeling a bit disappointed. It may be just personal taste, as others have loved it so much, but I can't honestly recommend it.More

This meal allowed us to experience tofu in its purest, most elevated form. First...the ambiance was lovely. We had a private room in a very traditional setting. You have to order the homemade tofu early because they make it at your table and it takes...about 20 minutes. (I mean they actually make it from soy milk in front of you...that was a special experience). There are many vegetarian options...some are delicious, some are average. (I’m still missing the Camembert tempura). But the dishes are small. It feels like ordering tapas. My husband thought we were ordering too many dishes...but we ended up ordering extra at the end. They offered soy sauce in place of the dashi, but you have to make it clear if you don’t want the fish sauce. And be aware...the special tofu dish made at your table is just that...fresh tofu. You can add soy or dashi, but despite how unique and special it was...it wasn’t what my husband expected as a main course.More

My husband and I ate here our last night in Tokyo. ... Talk about saving the best for last! We enjoyed most of our food in Tokyo, but this place was amazing! My husband is vegetarian, so restaurant choices can be limited. Located on a...quiet street, not far from one of the subway stops, but there was some construction so it was a little tricky to find. We did not have a reservation, but they showed us to a table immediately, and provided English menus. First, the interior is very peaceful, traditional Japanese-clean, simple layout. The atmosphere was very soothing with a waterfall and warm lighting. Very relaxing after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Every table was private, great for conversation-separated by walls and on different levels. Second, The food was fabulous! We ordered a la carte from different pages of the menu, and everything was so delicious. If you like tofu, you MUST try it. It's made table side and comes with lime and salt to add in steps. I had tempura while my husband tried assortment of tofu dishes. Third-the service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and patient, since we don't speak Japanese. He Brought each dish out immediately after it was prepared, so we could enjoy it at it's freshest from the kitchen. After dinner, I realized he had remembered what shoes we'd worn, and had removed them from shoe cubby, and placed them for us to step into as we were leaving! I can't say enough great things about this place. We will definitely eat here again. Truly one of the best dining experiences we've ever had!More

We went here on our last night in Tokyo and it was the perfect end to a great break. The food was really excellent - we had several tofu dishes, some tempura and delicious salad. Highlight was the tofu special which is made at the...table and it is recommended you start off eating it on it's own and then add lime, salt and sauce to really taste the different aspects. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. We thought this place was brilliant value- highly recommended!More

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

We don't speak Jap either. For the popular restaurants, our only way was to personally go to the restaurant and book the day before or hours earlier.
