This restaurant was very close to my hotel, so I came here twice for dinner (it was that good). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was impeccable. (Try the cherry blossom ice cream!)

This could not be better. Super friendly fly staff with extra large smile. Amazing easy to understand, foreigner friendly menu and fair prices for top level Japanese food. I couldn't be happier with the set up and the menu. They make it slook so easy. The issue now is that any other Japanese restaurant is going to look silly. It's... More

We had a very nice evening at Kaikaya. It was full, half tourists, half Japanese, very friendly staff, good food, lively ambiance and reasonable price.

We visited here for dinner having made a reservation through our hotel and were immediately hit by the fun and vibrant atmosphere. The chefs and servers are loud and jovial, and created a lively and fun setting. They followed this through with some amazing food (loved the tuna) which was simple but different and absolutely delicious. The only downside was... More

You will not be disappointed by the food nor the price. You must book in advance, and enjoy the surfer music. Place hosting a majority of foreigners. Definitely worth the trip.

This restaurant is fairly popular within the expat community. At most of, times there are more foreigners than Japanese people (at least at times I have visited). The cuisine is very simple yet exquisite and the prices are basically a steal for what you get. The menu is focused on seafood and has elements from Japanese/Meditteranean cuisines. If you get... This is the place to go to if you like fish and seafood. The cuisine is a fusion of Japanese / French / Italian, the produce are sourced directly from fishermen at a local harbor in Ibaragi-ken. Another plus, the extensive Sake (Nihonshu) and Wine menu wish offers great pairing with the dishes served.

Came here for a seafood dinner and was not disappointed. It is about a 10 minute walk from shibuya station. Ordered the menu set and it was great, the sashimi was amazing, as was the first appetizer. All the food was great. They have a wonderful assortment of Sake and would definitely recommend getting a glass or two to try... More

We stormed in, five people, no reservation and a full restaurant. A friendly waiter got us a small but sufficiently large table. To make life easier we ordered a menue and beer galore, what a wonderful meal. And the place is fun. OK, it is a bit touristy but so are those restaurants in Tokyo that show their menues in... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
