This conveyer belt sushi restaurant surprisingly only has 3.8 stars, but I 100% recommend it for those who are visiting Tokyo.
The downside, however, was that they don’t accept reservations and despite the average rating, we had to wait for about an hour.
There are...two seating areas: the table or the counter. We chose the counter because it was the faster one. But although it said “counter” it was just another table alongside the others.
At first, we were a bit confused because it was not a “typical” sushi restaurant: you needed to order on a tablet, there was no wasabi (for us and we didn’t ask), and no soy sauce bowl.
I ordered the tuna (aged tuna) sushi, salmon sushi, Ikura (salmon roe) sushi, tamago (omelette) sushi, steamed eggs, ramen (original), scallops sushi, and snow crab sushi.
My favorite was the aged tuna. Firstly, the tuna was so tender and it quite literally melted in my mouth.
The steamed eggs were also delicious. I ordered the one with the snow crab claw on top. I initially thought, with the pictures in the internet, that the claw would be a decent size, but please know in advance that it is really small. Inside, there were bits of small crab legs and chicken.
(I also noticed that majority, if not all, had no wasabi in between the fish and rice.)
The plates had one unanimous color but the menu on the tablet had the prices written besides it. There were two things I found intriguing. One was that there was a little area where you can slide your plates down when you finish to keep your table clean. Two was that when you ordered the food, in around 3 minutes, the food comes sliding down on the conveyer belt and stops exactly at your table. I was afraid of this when I ordered the ramen, but they secured it tightly so that it wouldn’t spill.
All in all, it is definitely a unique and great conveyer belt sushi restaurant to visit when in Tokyo.More
