We love to eat and we love pork. But we have never been to a restaurant that elevated the heretofore lowly pork to such gastronomic delight. The restaurant is at the end of a lonely alley; the interiors is nothing to rave about (but very comfy and cozy); the menu manageable and the wine list eclectic. But the food, ah,... More

We lived in Tokyo for 4 years and felt really lucky to have this restaurant as our favorite. The dishes are rich and masculine, with a focus on pork. The restaurant has a Michelin star. Never had anything I didn't like here and the wines are also reasonably-priced and good. If you get a chance try the galette. Make sure... More

It's supposed to be a Michelin one-star restaurant but in reality you mustn't expect such a thing. True, it's not their fault but Michelin's but if you go there with such expectation, you never fail to get disappointed. We did actually. It's supposed to be a Bask culinary place but once again it's not so in actuality. It's just a... More

After more than a week in Tokyo,I was ready to take a break from Japanese food and my husband found this restaurant near our hotel. Not easy to find since it does not face a street but worth every minute spent looking for it. The business facing the street says "Catorce",some kind of clothing store so just walk to the... More

My husband took me here for my birthday. What an absolute delight, and highly authentic rustic French food. My main dish was Alsatian (pork leg) and dessert (custard cake) was yummy. Ordered escargot for the appetizer, which was delicious. My husband's pork pate was excellent.

Tucked in a side street, not far from Nishi-Azabu crossing, this is a very memorable rustic style French restaurant specialising in pork, with a long list of variations on that theme. For example I had a Basque style pate starter and for main had confit of pork shoulder with polenta. Some delicious desserts also on offer (at which point there... More

We only found this place after not been able to get a booking for my wife's B'day at any of the Joel Robuchon restaurants .....and I got to say we were most happy that we did. The food is at the other end of the of the spectrum from the many Tokyo modern French cuisine restaurants, with their rich sauces... More

The most cozy little French/Bask restaurant with a country farmhouse decor with images of pigs all around, offers a fantastic service, wonderful atmosphere, & delicious bask style food. We've been here on numerous occasions, impressed every time!

Let me throw it out there: the best non fancy French restaurant in Tokyo. I know, it's a bold call but let me explain why. Being a French in Tokyo, I am always looking for authentic food in a nice place that doesn't rip you off for the sake of fanciness. This place serves you excellent mostly pork based dishes,... More

Highly regarded French Basque pork restaurant. Food is, indeed, very tasty, the atmosphere authentic Basque countryside - relaxed, casual. Wine list is good. A bit too expensive for pork, even if it is delicious.
