I am not a sushi connoisseur and cannot pretend I have eaten at many top sushi places. However, a true sushi in Japan is certainly a must and I think Sukibayashi Jiro Roppongi could be a good place to start. It is easier to book...More

We went for the 11.30am lunch (2 seatings @ 11.30am and 1pm and 2 dinner seatings), lunch was over in an hour. Reason being there is another group waiting. If you don’t like rush and expensive sushi, give this place a miss. If you don’t...More

Yes, I know the Roppangi Hill location isn't as well regarded as the Ginza location and that there are many better rated sushiyas in Tokyo. That said, I personally believe that at a certain level, it becomes a matter of preference. I had 3 sushi...More

Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the
area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot
to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art
Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art

The chef is most inflexible and unpredictable. They may say yes when you book but you never know what you are going to get on the day. It's a risk.
