A secret little patisserie in the basement of the famous restaurant (supposedly Tokyo’s best). Tokyo has dozens of great French patisseries, and this one is the equal of any we tried. Our group of 5 each tried a pastry, and for 3000 yen total it was a fantastic way to “teleport” to Paris, even if only for a minute.

If only it was for being a Joel Robuchon it worth the visit. Delicious French patisseries, crepes and mini cakes as they should be. Helpful staff, elegant decor. Try to get an outdoor seating. 7/10

I stop here every time I am in town for breakfast, snacks, or lunch To Go. I've tried all types of sweet and savory treats such as olive bread, the flakiest croissants (especially chocolate), pear pastry, croque Monsieur, ham and cheese and smoked salmon with avocado sandwiches, and more. Everything I've tried has been delicious. This bakery sets a high... More

Good sandwich offerings and an impressive array of sweets. Good housewarming gifts. And it has decent operating hours -- open very early in the morning and shuts late in the afternoon.

fresh treats during shopping. Reasonably priced. Our favorites were the chocolate croissants, caramels and toasted nuts.

Absolutely superb bakery... everything we tried was really delicious... both savory and sweet... obviously not low in calories, but who goes into a french style bakery expecting a low calorie experience ;-) Seriously good - very Paris :-) Loved it...

I went there 3 times during our 3 day stay. French pastries in Japan somehow works. Yumm. They have savory pastries as well as sweet. I had a wonderful wild mushroom and gorgonzola tart.

Stopped here to pick up some pastries, and they were excellent. Also liked their caramels (regular and green tea flavours).

When we couldn't get in to breakfast at the Westin, we went to the Joel Robuchon bakery attached to the restaurant. Every single thing we had (and we had lots) was awesome. There were great breads, pastries, quiches, jams, etc. Lots of butter of course!

Little pastries are very good; what I did not like were the strawberry financiers, they tasted much too artificial. The chocolate ones were very fluffy, but the rest of the pastries were delicious.

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
