No frills place, with a nice setting and attentive service. It's all about the steak though, which is still the best A5 Tajima beef I've had!

This was one of the best (if most expensive...) restaurants I've ever visited. From the welcome at the door to the chef's commentary as he cooks your steak on a hot plate in front of you, everything is exquisite. You can choose from a simple steak or from a variety of three/four course set meals - I'd recommend the latter.... More

Everything was first class. From the atmosphere, to the service, and best of all the steak. I had the fixed menu Kobe beef for $150. It's a lot of money but what an experience. The food, every last morsel, was delicious. But the steak was unbelievable. It was melt in your mouth goodness. There were 5 of us and they... More

If you are new to Kobe beef, you should come to this restaurant. If you want to taste Kobe beef the best way, you should come here too. The staff are very friendly and explain their menu really well to you. Many Kobe beef restaurant in Tokyo, not one single restaurant can present this beef better than Kawamura beefsteak in... More

I came here in April and had the best tempanki dining experience and had the best steak ever! Now returning in September, the staff are friendly and attentive as usual. Foie gras lunch set was magnificent, I've never had a piece that literally melts in my mouth! Will definitely return every time I'm in Tokyo. Definitely recommend.

We have dinner in the private room and they provide us Chinese and English menus even the waiter and waitress. The service was not very good as I heard before. But the chef was very good and he told us some experiences when he taught classes for teriyaki in China. I like the set menu of champion Kobe beef, and... More

It's interesting that lots of wagyu beef in the world, but you can taste the standard of Japanese beef here. I highly recommend to try the award winning beef so that you know what is the best beef. However, I don't quite like the set menu. The food other than the beef is not matching the standard to the beef...... More

Very friendly receiption. We chose the menue with the champion Kobe beef and abalone. Very, very good beef, like a piece of butter, wonderful!!The abalone was excellent as well. Extensive winelist, pretty pricy, don't expect any bargains. Unfortunately, no japanese wines.

This is a robata bar and a place to eat Kobe (or other Japanese) beef, which was very good. The problem here is the price does not match the overall experience. The meal is fairly quick (about 1 hour) in a fully lit restaurant that makes no pretensions as to atmosphere. The wine list is outrageously priced. It is hard... More
