On vacation walking in Ginza district for a place to eat dinner. Ran across Pizzeria Matteo and noticed the lively crowd inside. The menu had a large variety of pizza's and pasta dishes so we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. The thin crust pizza was very tasty and the ingredients fresh. We also shared a dish... More

Neapolitan influenced pizza with a thin crisp crust. The featured pizza was one of my favorites: prosciutto and arugula. Plenty of toppings and good quality too. Wine glasses could use an upgrade, but all in all a quaint place to enjoy nice pizza

As an Italian, I tend to believe that pizza is a national treasure, and the quintessential comfort food to be sought for when nostalgia and homesickness become unbearable during a journey. The four-cheese pizza I had in “Da Matteo”, Ginza, as well as the “Spaghetti aglio, olio and bottarga” that my wife had the same night, were delicious. I have... More

We passed by this place and finally had an "Italian feeling" about this restaurant, quite opposite to several other places with nice Italian names, but the wrong feeling. We had a lunch and were surprised by the good pizza, nice thin and crispy (although a thicker bottom also had been possibe), a small nice soup, salad and sesame ice cream... More

Pretty tasty pizza in the heart of Tokyo. The staff was friendly and prompt. The two pizzas we ordered were nicely prepared and the salads were fresh. This is a decent option just a block away from the Imperial Hotel.

If you're looking for good authentic Italian pizza in Ginza, Tokyo, look no further than Matteo's. They have a full slate of Italian pizzas and the margarita and calzone were outstanding. Nice wine as well, friendly staff.

This place is fantastic. The italiian food rivals what I have had in Italy. We had the margarita pizza, spicy calabrese pasta, and bruschetta. The spicy pasta was very spicy, just the way I like it. The bruschetta was very well seasoned and flavorful. They have an english menu, and the staff is very nice and speaks English too. Overall... More
