This is an ideal place if you are shopping around Ginza. Easy to find and is popular so you may have a short wait. The counter seats are fun if you want to watch all chefs at work. It wasn't quite as juicy as Katsukura...More

I had read about this place. Once you know where it is, you see it is not hard to find but i did wander a lot. The place itself is quite basic, decoration does not stand out but the tonkatsu itself, the bread crumbs they...More

It usually needs to wait a while but at least we get the seat after waiting. Some of the good Tokyo restaurants won't take reservation or let you wait for table. Good taste but a little bit pricy.

One of the oldest pork cutlet casual restaurants in Tokyo. Counter is familiar services are good enough. Quality is more than expectation. Pork comes from some pig breeding farms because they would like to keep some level in quality. The best pork in Japan I...More

We had dinner here after reading the great reviews. We ordered the most expensive porc tonkatsu menu. The taste was great. The meat was very juicy and the crust nice and crispy. The staff was very friendly. The place was crowded and so it should...More

It is one of our favourite Japanese restaurants in Singapore. So a trip to Tokyo wouldn't be complete without a visit to the original Ginza store for our favourite Tonkatsu. We had a little difficulty in locating the restaurant and there was a line when...More

After trying out Singapore's franchise Ginza Bairin, I came to the Original Ginza Bairin in Tokyo with great expectation. The Original didn't disappoint me at all. In fact, it was one of the best Tonkatsu I had throughout my trip. Despite the menu comes in...More

Went there after reading the TripAdvisor recommendations - definitely good Tonkatsu with nice sauce to be had. I recommend to go just for the 1000 Yen Tonkatsu; I got the 2.900 Yen special and except for having a bit more meat (not much) and fat,...More

One of the best pork cutlet I've eaten! Crispy and juicy you get the option to drizzle as much katsu sauce as you want. Try it with some mustard that they have as well - yum yum yum!

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

We went there tonight and had to wait half an hour in the queue, did not see anyone jump the queue while we were there. I am pretty sure you cannot book, just come and wait (if necessary).
